Enjoy your upslope tomorrow.  I'll get my usual handful of flurry leftovers.  I can never catchup to you guys in snow amounts with your upslope.

Mid 30's today.   A few ice pellets earlier as the storm to the SE passed by.

Snowy week coming up?  Looked like big potential a few days ago but now not very much.  Several inches?  Maybe the 2nd system (which now looks like its almost one continous light snow event?) can get going in the GOM to give Central NH some decent snow.

Hired people to chainsaw apple limbs and we carted 5 truckloads of branches to our towns burn pile, plus 1 pickup full of apple cord wood.  Pastures back to looking decent except for bent birches which will be dealt with this spring.

With my SW expsure to the horizen, I am noticing the sun setting further north now.  2-3 more weeks and climatologically we start warming.

Hope the SNE guys get some snow.  Different world 75 miles south.

    Chow...

Very different. Interacted with multiple group of renters who were really surprised to see how much snow there is, and said they weren't expecting to find any!

I’ve never skied the White’s. Gotta make the drive done day. Cannon is 4 hours for me so would have to be an overnight. I can be in S VT in 1.5 hours.

    .

Definitely do an overnight sometime. There's plenty to see! Beautiful mountains, very ragged

There hasn’t been much happening out there yet this morning, and there’s not much visible on the radar, but we’ve got some flakes appearing now.

Same here, but very small flake size. Yesterdays discussion mentioned a decent chance of upslope after this storm, not sure if this is it or we will get something more substantial

Southern fringes of the CAD will definitely have to deal with boundary layer issues. Even though it will be cool, the temps > 32 will be too deep around places like BVY for snow. But we're only talking by 1000 ft or so. Wouldn't take a model error of too much to flip that to an hour of heavy snow.

The forecast soundings do have quite a bit of lift in the DGZ right at onset, so I wouldn't be surprised by a few locations pounding a quick inch or two before the party is over.

But like you say, I like the trends for ME. If warming hits a wall like the last event, we could see a nice overperformer.

We are screwed lol. Better get those snow guns going again :)

Snowing now.  Solid dusting.  Glad the brief warm interlude is over.

I will measure in a few but eyeing half an inch or so. Even if really light, these upslope events are a nice way to end these damn cutters. Reminds you that it's winter even if the pattern sucks, and they cover up ice and mud so that the next few days have a nice wintry feel to them. Till the next rain, at least. :)

    Snowing nicely again.

About an inch of fluff on the car this evening.

    Snowy climate.

Nice! Light snow here but doesn't seem to be accumulating much

EDIT: I guess it has picked up quite a bit, I've been cooped up too much lol

  7. Can somebody expain this coming NY storm? I keep being asked and I don't know what to say. Both GYX and BTV are very much leaning towards warm with freezing rain - which for us usually means torch (as it did last night/today). In fact they both mention warmer than this last storm. On the other hand, it seems that most model have quite a bit of frozen and the track doesn't seem nearly as bad as this last storm. What am I missing?
