Snowing hard here. About an inch so far

Congrats, Alex
I'll believe it when it's at my stake.
It's been a good winter for us in spite of the cutters, but it's hard to get really excited when the rest of New England has been so awful. I think PF said it at some point, it's like being at a party by yourself. I honestly would rather not be in the bull's eye and see more in SNE

It's amazing the effect that 1/2" of fresh snow has on people. Some renters just checked in and they were so excited. "We thought it would be awful with all the rain and we got here and all the trees are covered in snow and could barey see driving." They were so happy!!! The fact that there's still almost 2 feet on the ground helps too, you wouldn't know it rained with the fresh stuff on top.

I'm not counting on tonight's snow on replenishing the snow pack but it's helped a lot make the driveway passable and that's a win. About 1/2" so far but it seems less intense now. And as PF mentions it helps a lot aesthetcally, especially since it's sticking to the trees

Back to snow here. Damage not too bad in spite of temperature around 50 most of the day. Can't see the stake too well but looks to be around 20"

I have just under 14" at the snow stake. Lots of sleet mixed in so the pack will condense and refreeze into a glacier if we get 1.5" liquid.
26" at the stake here and that's a low spot compared to more protected areas so not concerned about a wipeout, but the driveway WILL become a glacier, and that SUCKS. Snow has stopped, not doing anything at the moment, and temp has started inching back up - currently 25/18. I'm sure we will torch as soon as the winds pick up

Started as snow here... We'll see for how long. 24/15

Haha, I don't know if it would even be possible. Your comment made me think, what could melt this in 24 hours? Maybe at 85/67 for 24 hours? 9-10 inches of water with a very cold core temperature and literally just straight ice for the last 16"...interesting to think about.
That would be a cool analysis. Way more physics than I care to know.
In the meantime, crazy to think that it's going to melt when we are currently down to -6. But it will and we'll be the first ones in the Whites to rain as usual

Down to 0. Shouldn't go above it tomorrow, brrr

Haven’t gone out to measure but it's very drifty up here, and very windy. I'd guess about 6" on average. Much warmer than I had expected at 22.8. Snow getting whipped all over the place
-
Wasn't expecting snow at this rate here so early. Headed to Conway, hopefully the notch won't be too bad

Snow started here

Temp increasing, back above 0. Kids ski school at Cannon at 9, let it rise!

The squalls gave me an inch.
1.5 on the dot for me. Cold this morning (-16 when I woke up) with some diamond dust
-
About an inch and a half so far. Will measure precisely when it stops
-
Some decent squalls tonight

The BTV warm departures are real. That's what the Champlain Valley looks like in January now .
Lol

That's down south somewhere. I think eyewall lives in NC now. Not sure where the pics are from.
Ooooooh I forgot that! I thought he was in VT lol (and I couldn’t get on the board earlier), which made me think maybe there was something wrong with the board itself.

Thank you!
I’m so confused. How are these pictures from today??? It looks like early fall. Is something funny happening with the board?

Lol, it’s 28F here.
That sounds amazing right now. I don't like this level of cold. It literally hurts to breath in the morning.
