Sometimes you gotta win games you don't deserve to win a la the 2023 Steelers, lol This is the first time this year that the defense helped seal the game...followed by Zay. Still can't quite tell where this team is headed...but I think they took a good step on those last two drives.

I actually can only think of two questionable 4th down decisions this year: tonight and the Steelers game. Harbs doesn't go for it on 4th down nearly as much this year as he did in 2021 and part of 2022.

Personally I won't be comfortable until we see that pac actually improving in real time. To me I don't know what else works without at least some help there.

Now, to us layman...there are somethings in whether that are opposite of what you'd expect (like a warmer climate favoring cooler enso...that was mind boggling). The beach blizzards are one of those things. Like...how did those happen?

Thanks for this post. And I gotta say to you and others: I was a part of the problem that drove you all away, and I own that, and feel awful for it quite often. I'm working on changing and slowly but surely making progress, but there's no undoing my part. I've made it about me and my feelings not realizing how it was sounding to everybody else. I apologize to you and everybody else...striving to be better and perhaps make up for it somehow. It's a process... I too miss your insights: but I totally get why you left. It is indeed a time suck and online is...online, lol Glad you made the decision for your own mental health. Always good to see ya drop in though!

THIS. This needs to be pinned at the top of every thread... You're right, unless you're new to this hobby, we SHOULD know better. And yet...what have seen just today? Why people, especially those who have been on this site for years do not learn this lesson even after all this time is beyond me. Fantasy range is just that...fantasy. Any specific threat you see, be it a hit or a miss...!t that point it's not real, y'all. Jist tell yourself...it's not real, lol Fantasy is good for showing how things COULD work in a certain pattern, but never can be a forecast in that range. End mini-rant

Don't pay attention to modeled details of any specific threat beyond 7 days, man. You look for larger scale things not specifics. I find that watching a model run requires a certain level of emotional discipline...you can't go flying off at some discreet modeled threat changing/disappearing at D11, lol Yeah digital snow is fun to look at, but it's not to be taken literally at that range. Yeah I know if it disappears it "feels" like you've somehow "lost" it...but not so. You look more broadly at the pattern...there's a reason the more experienced posters here look at longwave patterns and such at Day 10 instead of an op run of a specific thing!

I'd argue the Pacific has been more consistently hostile during that 7-year stretch than is was before (or so it seems). Like I said that pac might just be different now, who knows?
