  1. I feel like we can't really pinpoint anything until inside 24 hours since the low is just meandering off the coast
  2. That's what I saw this weekend in western PA. However at higher elevations in central PA there was a decent amount of color already
  3. Of course by then our average highs are down to the upper 60s so unless we see highs in the 50s it really won't be significantly below average
  4. I wonder if it will be like 2007 when we peaked in mid November. Though that year the heat remained well into October “With seasons like this, you usually have an extended period of color,” said Frank Lombardo, a meteorologist and chief executive officer of the WeatherWorks forecasting company, based in Warren County. “The trees that are susceptible to drier weather will start turning leaves early. The trees that are healthy and aren’t stressed will start to turn their leaves later, so you’ll get an extended season.” A big factor contributing to colorful fall foliage seasons in New Jersey is adequate rain, which helps keep the root system of trees strong, Lombardo noted. “We had a very wet spring," he said. "So a lot of trees are healthy, with a lot of leaves hanging on.” Despite some trees that are shedding their leaves a little early, Tom Sheppard also is confident New Jersey will have a colorful autumn. “I think we’ll have a nice fall foliage season,” said Sheppard, chief park naturalist for the Hunterdon County Division of Parks and Recreation. “Will we have the best one? I wouldn’t say that, but I think we’ll have a solid one. I think all the rain we had early in the year has been enough to keep the trees in good condition.”
  5. Upton has been playing catchup though. No forecast was close to low 90s yesterday until late sunday even though models were indicating it
  6. Have to figure any showers that try to make it through later will die out
  7. Ewr hit 49 this morning. Didnt drop below 50 until 10/13 last year
  8. I dont mind the dry but it will probably ruin our foliage season if we don't start seeing some rain by the end of the month
  9. Today and tomorrow and then next friday thru Sunday all look at least low to mid 80s here
  10. Today and tomorrow and then next friday thru Sunday all look at least low to mid 80s here
  11. Looks like a nice but brief cooldown for midweek but next weekend looks hot again (mid 80s would be around 10 degrees above normal)
  12. I mean technically yes but it only weakened by 5-10 mph from NC to NYC because it was mostly over the chesapeake. a track up the delaware river would've caused more wind damage
