  1. Low of 58 this morning. Won't be seen that again anytime soon.
  2. It's a smoothed snapshot on a seasonal model at super long range. The overall look may be unappealing, but within that general longwave pattern you can see the potential for a period or 2 of cross Polar flow with a -EPO and the TPV stretched and in that position. As we have seen in some recent Ninas, a couple relatively short lived cold periods(and a little luck with timing) within an overall mild winter pattern can produce a few good snow events along the east coast.
  3. 77/53 What a difference a day makes. Ofc this time of year this can't last very long. Back into the low 90s with dewpoints into the 70s for the 4th. That should be the beginning of a period that will feature some t-storm chances.
  4. Got lucky here with that southward moving line of storms last night. Picked up exactly an inch from that and ended up with 1.28" for the day.
  5. Getting a nice storm here now. Nothing severe, but some glorious heavy rain.
  6. Evapotranspiration, or as some call it in those areas- corn sweat. Those are some crazy high DPs. Plenty of feed corn growing around here with all of the dairy farms in this area, but I have never really observed a notable increase in summer dewpoints compared to surrounding urban areas. Smaller scale compared to a place like Iowa though.
  7. 88/76 Not as hot here but still a sauna.
  8. Another tenth lol. Hopefully I can nickel and dime to a half inch. Looks promising for later on some guidance, while others have convection focused to the east.
  9. SPC updated to Enhanced risk just to the NE of our region. Includes the extreme NE portion of DE and all of NJ.
  10. Radar lighting up a bit just to my west. Hopefully I can catch a downpour.
  11. 77/73 Sultry. Soupy. Windows steamed up.
  12. Had one brief torrential downpour early this morning that yielded 0.15". Hearing booming thunder now as a cell has just popped up but looking at radar it is just NE of here. Hopefully this afternoon/evening delivers.
  13. That's typically the way we get it in summer, outside of tropical. Prolonged light-moderate soaking rain events are hard to come by. Torrential works for me because of the flat terrain and lack of impervious surfaces around.
  14. Beautiful evening here. 73/53 with a nice breeze. Almost hard to believe how awful it will feel by this time tomorrow, and even worse by Sunday.
  15. Most of us could use an inch+ of rain. Don't really care about the severe at this point.
  16. 6z GFS is jacked up for I-95 points south and east on Sunday.
  17. Nothing but a period of light rain here. 0.15". That won't help much.
  18. High of 95 here. Still 87 going on 8PM.
  19. Os are slumping a bit. Not worried at all about the offense at this juncture. Pitching is becoming more problematic, but they have plenty of young talent to go make a couple of deals at the deadline to shore it up.
  20. Nice this morning. Low of 59.
  21. 0.22" Better than nothing, esp as unimpressive as the radar looks overall. Pretty lucky to get anything. Maybe another shot in the early morning hours.
  22. Getting a decent shower here for the first time in recent memory.
  23. 95 here. High for the day. It feels hot out, but there has been a significant breeze all day so it isn't awful.
  24. Still 83 approaching 930. Doesn't feel bad out at all really, but pretty impressive for here where there is zero UHI and really nothing but open fields and woods with clear skies. Probably hit a low of about 78.
