That's the view from the end of my driveway. I am in the woods, so I cant see much of anything this time of year. In general though it is wide open around here with all the farms and no hills, so chases to get cool photos of storms are easy. I have collected quite a few dramatic shelf cloud shots over the years.

Looks like another miss here. Its weakening on approach too. Might get a few pity drops lol.

Its gonna be close. Pretty cool looking storm though.

Here is my view of that line of storms sinking southward. Pretty noisy. Hopefully the western edge will clip my yard.

89/72 Haven't quite made it to 90 here. Feels full on summer out there though. Still not seeing indications of a stretch of hideous heat- mid to upper 90s- on the means. Looks like typical summer for here. 85-90, with generally moderate humidity levels, over the next week or so.

Be careful. Your area is in the slight risk for severe. Watch this, just to be sure you have a healthy respect for large scale electrical arcing, as I know you do on the smaller scale stuff. Btw, when I teach multi-meter use, amazing how many people don't have a clue about the Cat ratings. Same thing in general with interrupting ratings with fuses. Lol seriously tho, this is a cool vid.

We still have a decent chance late this afternoon into tonight. Coverage wont be great, but there will be places that will get a gusty t-storm, and a quick half inch or so of rain. Mesos don't look bad for our general area.

I am about to give up lol. I will wear out my well pump trying to save my grass. Go through this every summer. I will just let nature take its course and reseed/overseed in another month or so when the sun angle is noticeably lower. My grass only looks good from mid April through mid June, and then again(after seeding) from September until it goes dormant. In Mid to late summer, forget it. Burned up, thatch city.

Have had some periodic clouds here too. Otherwise it would be 90 for sure. It is pretty oppressive tho.

WP and other news sources give you a few freebies per month, then you have to subscribe. I used to play the game of deleting cookies, but in most cases you have to clear everything, which effs with logon info and profile settings for sites I care much more about, so not doing that

Just had a brief heavy downpour to aid the sprinkler in watering the grass. Picked up about a tenth.

Outside of the 0.8" last Sat, nothing here for 2 weeks+. Soil is parched, other than where I constantly run the sprinkler in an attempt to save my patch of decent grass lol.

Oh damn. Well I knew he wasn't going to be a happy camper after that draft move.

HOF game/ceremonies now canceled, and ofc that would have been the first preseason game. Hard to envision training camp and preseason occurring on time at this point. Not sure how its even logistically possible with teams having up to 80-90 players heading into camp, not to mention all the coaches and training staff. I am not feeling it for the NFL season occurring in any normal way right now. It wouldn't be surprising to me if it didn't happen at all. Not a fan of Goodell and I have little faith there is enough forethought and creativity to pull this off, unless ofc the COVID magically disappears.
