  1. Wilmington and Tewksbury looked bare....maybe it was just by the highway.
  2. I am confident that the second half of January goes to crap again.
  3. I agree with you, and I think Jerry has also said, that the second wave in January (10thish) has a better shot to produce. I think if that one somehow fails, we maybe in some trouble.
  4. Yea, I average at least a foot in December, and I have 2.75" on the month. This month has been brutal with respect to snowfall.
  5. I have never waived a white flag....I just melted to vent frustration.
  6. Again, most of SNE, and NNE for that matter, has done better than I have over the course of the past several years. I have finished greater than 10" below normal for three consecutive seasons and am well on my way to a fourth, at this point. That is why I am so frustrated.
  7. I just posted in the other thread that I have a couple of inches about 2 mi from the NH line in N Mass, but its gone by the time you hit I 495. I surprised...I though the snow early Sunday AM had made it father south.
  8. I have a couple of inches right now, but its all gone once you hit 495.
  9. Well my honest answer is that its both for me...no doubt I suffer from that addictive affliction to which you allude, but its also a legit hobby. What validates the latter for me is the hours that I spend researching the craft on an annual basis....that balances the addictive proclivities that are on display for you fine folks to see during the winter season. When I end up expecting decent snow, and am left wiping my ass with the 20+ pages of elaborately scientific description of what did NOT happen, its frustrating....you bet.
  10. Yea, most great seasons are great because of a signature event.
  11. Yea, my thought going in was that it would happen this season, but it hasn't...at least not yet. Hey, who knows....maybe this is the regression from 2007-2008 when this area killed the rest of the region.
  12. Right, so that should regress at some point.
  13. I agree.....my thoughts all along have been a back loaded winter, but I thought December and early January would have decent snowfall, which doesn't seem to be working out.
  14. Well, I'm not sure what exactly you are looking for, but this will potentially be my fourth consecutive season of greater than 10" below average seasonal snowfall.
  15. It should at some point, but I'm not seeing much support for that on longer range guidance at this time. I didn't think it would be a very cold month, but I am surprised its ended up as warm as it has....I figured it would be seasonable in the northeast.
  16. I don't see much signs of a shift on the ensembles...all I am saying.
  17. Seasonably cold...it doesn't look like a torch, just uninspiring....like I said, more of the same.
  18. Man, looking at all three ensemble suites, I don't see much hope for anything significant right through the first week to ten days of January. Yikes. Hopefully that changes, but it looks like more of the same crap, to me....energy tumbling down the west coast from AK, attenuating and lifting north as it heads east.
  19. No. I think we will have a another rough 2-3 weeks before a final period of blocking late in the season.
  20. We should get a good period before things go to hell again, but if we don't, or don't capitalize on the good window, then its time to take 'em down for the season.
  21. This is my honest assessment of where things stand.
  22. I've been melting, where in the hell have you been?
