  1. Bingo. Glad I didn't fall for this head-fake and start spending hours blogging over bands of non accumulating snowshowers. Winter 2022-2023 #bendover
  2. Part of me also wants to just rat the fu@# out this season...especially if we aren't going to score a huge event. Let's go for futility and shut the regression zealots up headed into the el nino. Build up some good weather karma.
  3. Man, I am going to on the developing el nino like a fly on shit this year.....flush this ENSO the fu#$ out.
  4. It can change into another regime that blows.
  5. There is nothing more miserable than a "cold" season that won't snow.
  6. 100% honestly...I am tiring of this season. It needs to either shit or get off of the pot. I have been finding myself checking out and just longing for the warm season. Already been researching for fantasy baseball. If it isn't going to snow and significantly at that, I just assume split the PV...plant one over AK, the other over Greenland and be done with it. Honestly being 100% genuine...not sarcastic or a melt. I'm just exhausted by it all and have zero interest in chasing stray bands and shards of accumulating snow off of the Atlantic from a long deceased ocean storm.
  7. Zero interest in this. Ultimately decided to ignore it all together.
  8. He said lights out south of NE, to be fair. I feel like Feb will be a reminder that a neg PNA pattern is not all doom and gloom for us.
  9. So far, so good with respect to getting a warning event NOP on the EURO.
  10. Actually a nice snow shower here...great growth.
  11. Yea...right. No question..just not as extreme as Feb 2015.
  12. I don't know that anyone approached 100" over 30 days ...
  13. I'm not sure you guys will ever pull off a month like that not having the ocean just to your east.
  14. Exactly my point. Probably better luck with snow, too.
  15. Not saying frigid...just more wintry than consensus...or at least more wintry than January.
  16. I agree RE February. I think I mixed Jan and Feb up like I did in 2021.
  17. Eventually I'm sure it will begin to impact it more, but in the mean time...I think the impact is overstated bc much of the increase in temperature is at night. The greenhouse gasses are inhibiting the escape of heat during traditional cooling more than anything else. This is why much of those wild positive temp departures are achieved while we sleep under starry skies. Not ALL of it...we are seeing more insanely warm day time highs, but I think the negative impact of that on snowfall is being offset my the increase in mositure...for now.
  18. Yea, that "barks" of global warming augmenting snowfall....it requires qualitative analysis, but we haven't seen a period that dire in the 30 plus years since. In fact, global warming maybe enhancing snowfall so quickly that the 30 year climo period doesn't fully capture it. -end sarcasm-
