    Anyone know what causes that "gap" in dynamics in the GOM, just as it exits MA and until it nears NS? Does it start to occlude and that get more N steam insert?

    That thing nailed 1/7.....I remember I was laughing at it showing 15-20" over me as the storm was starting.....19" later.

    Its phasing with the N stream more, so its a more intense storm with more cold.

    Yea, I think on that run the most intense weather combo is just south of me, but I am near the max snowfall because the areas to the south are more marginal to start.

    I agree with the NE shift because it implies a late phase....that usually is slower than modeled.
