Bursting convection over the center, I think we have Fay at 5pm. Regardless of final intensity, these systems in the subtropics can be quite well organized and aesthetic looking if they get their act together

I'm stuck in the middle of a pretty wicked hail cell. Not overly big hail but very long lived. Ended up with less than .2" of recorded rain, but gutters got all clogged up with hail.

Euro suite advertising decent rains thru the middle of the week. 1.5-2"+

What's left in life if we can't complain about the Nam and Srefs?

On October 6, say goodbye to the NAM, HREF, and SREF, and say hello (?) to some or all of these things replaced with RRFS/ensemble RRFS. I don't know what that's going to look like and I don't know how various web sites will deal the new data feed. I would imagine that the SREF was not really preferred for various reasons. However, it is definitely going to feel strange going to the Pivotalweather or College of Dupage web sites, and not see the NAM, at all, ever.

Thankfully I don't live anywhere near Newark. I have been out on my boat just about every day this week and the long Island sound water temps are still mid 70's. The middle of the sound out to the race is still 75-77 degrees..
