  1. Good morning all. Rob my snow gauge is now definitively an old man’s gauge, barely an inch. Even so, despite the too warm ground and lower few feet of atmosphere, what fell and stayed defined a peace and beauty of its own. Stay well as always …. IMG_1853.mov IMG_1857.mov
  2. Snowing by street light on Tompkins Place. As always …. IMG_1836.mov
  3. Good morning Rob/BSL. As you can see, in anticipation, I’ve installed a snow gauge. I’ve cleared a small patch of bare ground boarded by a century old clothesline pole and surrounded by the last oak leaf drifts of fall. The gauge will report what the postage stamp receives in my UHI blessed, ocean loving, coastal plain, urban location. Many may say that a 6 or 12 inch gauge, at most, would suffice for my location. My purchase of a 36 inch gauge, accurately labeled as optimism wrapped in insanity, was actually done with fore thought. Bigger than 6 inches is always better. Thank you and all my kind and patient friends in the NW & NE Burbs. As always ….
  4. Even though expecting 100% accuracy from a 456 hour long range forecast is delusional ….. the potential back to reality look (for the coast)) is sobering. Stay well all, as always ….
  5. My ocean hugging coastal plain location can expect the top photos likelihood. I feel sure that the good folk of the NW & NE burbs thread will be blessed as the second photo indicates. Either way peace and joy will prevail. As always……
  6. I believe Liberty has a serious allergy issue. Heaven bless him, he’ll certainly make up for his posting absence when he’s back. It been quite a while since I’ve seen a post from Will Rutgers. Is he okay? Stay well all. ……
  7. Looking at my bare oak leaf buried coastal plain postage stamp I can, with appropriate word substitutions still hope. As akways …..
  8. Well said, well done Don. As always ….
  9. Possibly each of us with our own chapter? Stay calm and lucid ….. as always …
  10. And Rob, I’m thankful for them and even for forky. May we all be blessed, as always ….
  11. To many of us, no matter what you say, this still applies. As always …..
  12. Thank you BW. 55 years ago I started working in the area, than married into the area. The row house across the street was boarded up, as was another around the corner, on Kane Street. Gentrification took hold and now both those buildings, which went for taxes, can command 4 to 7 million dollar price tags. The fall is (anthony forgive me) my favorite season. The end of life is also the promise of life. When winter finally arrives for me …. I hope to be ready. Stay well, as always …..
  13. Rob you and S19 will never be a D D. Our ocean hugging, UHI blessed five borough coastal plain location ensures Debbie will always be welcome in December. Stay well and hopeful, as always …..
  14. A sobering statistic for Montreal from the Weather Network. As always ….
