  1. That will change, Santa, if you ever parole Will. As always …..
  2. Mom and Dad, nice recipe! ….well done…. Happy Father’s Day. As always …..
  3. Ah come on S19 ….. in our UHI warm ocean hugging coastal plain environment …. At best …. that’ll be a cheap high. As always ….
  4. Good morning BW. Sadly and I mean this for city residents only. Central Park, at least, in the warm season is not a typical indicator of what our five Borough folks are experiencing, temperature wise. Newark and our airports set records and yet our official high temperature is 91. The dryness concerns me as I believe we are near six inches below yearly average rainfall to date for the city. Stay well, as always ….
  5. It may be Christmas in July all the way to December. As always … . .
  6. Thank you Tip, I enjoyed the Op Ed. As a cement bound URI blessed denizen of the coastal plain I credit you with, sadly, a most accurate description of my cool/cold season, “four months of Autumn”. On the coastal plain this is less likely to be tongue-in-cheek. Unfortunately, as described by Hawkeye Pierce that Crab Apple Junction Maine has a white Christmas, beginning October 31st may also be less likely, nowadays. Still……. When the first real cold and threat of frozen, a flake, a mix and maybe accumulation appears, our local media, as do our forums, whoosh into a joyous anticipation. i, personally, find solace, in a calm warm summer night with gently falling showers. “Speak to me softly, like the rain” …… I still try to listen. As always…..
  7. Jewelry! ….. As always ……
  8. Looks to be a delicious, magnificent and healthy presentation Mrs J. I remember my late spouse taking basic ingredients and turning them into, by my eye/palate, a work of art. Well done! As always …..
  9. 83% of the warmest temperature winters (40+ degrees) occurred in the last 26 years. What saddens me is if I make it to my hoped for 104th birthday in 2051, the entire list may consist of 21st century years. As always …..
  10. It sad, getting old! All the fine posts by well versed members/meteorologists and the only thing I remember is “copulating anus”. As always ….
  11. Too much of a step down, ww, to go from being a Meteorologist to a plumbers helper. Please don’t hang in there, as always ….
  12. I waited for the rain to stop before I put out the flag. The only one on the block so far. My father and uncles survived WW2. Two uncles were on the same ship that was torpedoed and both made it. Even I, in my advanced age, as it gets harder to remember I still, will endeavor never to forget. As always …
  13. I remember the annual plunge of Brooklyns, Comey Island, Polar Bear Club. In a deep stretch of cold and sometimes with snow on the beach they would make their beach plunge. Newsprint and TV news would cover it. As you can see they were average folk but when I was asked for a comment way back, in my younger days I said “ definitely certifiable” now, perhaps, I’m not so sure. Stay well everyone, as always …..
