i'm sitting in 4th at Valpo, but 2 of those above me are grads who aren't in the dept. anymore

Has anyone from here suggested a city for the TBA weeks yet?
I'm waiting for my registration to be approved...but I think I'm going to throw Astoria, OR (KAST) into the pile of suggestions, since we didn't have a Pacific coastal city this year (the last 2 years used Seattle, and a year or two before that was Crescent City, CA) and the Pacific coast in Spring has marine layers and other fun things like that to deal with. Not to mention that the parade of major storms into the Pac NW might continue right into Spring.
I'm waiting for my registration to be approved...but I think I'm going to throw Astoria, OR (KAST) into the pile of suggestions, since we didn't have a Pacific coastal city this year (the last 2 years used Seattle, and a year or two before that was Crescent City, CA) and the Pacific coast in Spring has marine layers and other fun things like that to deal with. Finished 22nd in the nation for KMSY, but not doing so hot already in KPVD, temp has dropped like a rock...grr

Ouch! 24 for the low.. 
The lowest I saw from anyone was NWS-BOX with 25. Props to them and their grid.

It's a shame nobody else at VU is even trying anymore. If they were I wouldn't keep coming in 1st.

I wish in the future they would delete inactive players. Like after the 4th climo-ed forecast in a row, they're dropped, so we can see how many people are actually still playing.

Me too. I know there are almost 2000 "participants", but I want to know how many people are actually playing.
62nd in PVD, after being 448th through day 6. I'll take it.

Pretty windy in KABQ! And interesting that the 18z GFS had a huge spike in the high temperature.

Temp just jumped 10°F in the last hour with a DP of 3.7°F.

The resolution of the GFS can't properly handle the topography, I think. It has consistently been high (though this is absurd).

I feel like I've been pretty lazy this semester as far as my forecasting goes, yet I did pretty decent at Providence and finished 219th at Albuquerque. Still around 500th for the semester and ~425th for the year, though.

Then what was the problem with the NAM being so absurdly low every day? That 18z GFS run wasn't too far off from reality that day

I hurriedly entered my forecast right before my lab this evening. I just got back and saw this in my email.
I meant to put a 7 knots in for my wind speed and instead entered 77 knots. FML.
A missed forecast I can't really afford.
