NorthHillsWx
First true “thaw” day in well over a week. 50 degrees, all snow is gone from sun, working on the last of it in shaded areas now. My strategically reinforced and shade placed snow piles have some staying power though
yotaman
We have had filtered sun all day and it only hit 45 so far but the snow is melting fast. Our street gets full sun and it is very slushy with some bare spots now. Bottomed at 17 this morning. I finally cleared most of my double car driveway except for 1 mound where I had no place to put the snow.

calculus1
^ Based on that, southern Wake County (and a few other bordering counties) is experiencing the longest 6+" snow drought of anywhere in the state save that sliver of brown in the SE corner of the state. And it may very well extend into the 2030's after missing this shot at it. There is no telling for sure of course but it is a very low probability it will be this year. WestCentrlVA
Late report but the snow squalls are meaning business up this way. Been coming down moderately to heavy at times. If you get under one of the heavier bands moving south enjoy.
