Linville River up to 4.46ft in Nebo. Watauga only currently at 4.01 in Sugar Grove- antecedent conditions helping a ton.
wncsnow
Just hit 5 inches here. Thankfully the rates have generally decreased and the heavier showers move through quickly. Think we will get another inch or so.

calculus1
I had around 4 inches. The Vantage Vue said 3.8 inches, but I’m not exactly sure on the total amount, as a leaf got stuck in the Vue yesterday afternoon and caused me to miss some of the accumulation. BooneWX
Rough day in the foothills. Lots of damage in both Burke and Caldwell counties. The dam at Rhodhiss is now open, which will spell even more damage downstream. I haven’t seen this lake in such rough shape outside of Helene. I went down to the neighborhood docks a bit ago and it smells awful - not a sewage scent but a rotted plant/earth smell. Furniture, trees, you name it coming down the waterway. Chocolate milk brown as you can imagine.
