Ended up with .5 from yesterday afternoon, and another .4 late last night. So .9 total on a day that I started with not even a chance showing in my forecast. And this was after days of missed chances with very little to show. I think that is part of what makes weather fun.

I had a storm "break containment" and move into my neighborhood. Yes, I know I'm using winter cliches in August, but it was exciting.

I'm glad someone cashed in. Another day or near misses for me. That's been the story of the summer except for about a week stretch in July. With the looks of the coming Nino, we'll probably all tire of rain this winter. We'll see I guess.

Huge storm blew up and pummeled east toward 77. Just wet the ground here a little. Story of the summer for the most part.

I think I missed rain to the south and east about every day this week, except for one day where it missed to the north! Maybe this weekend we can all cash in.

Really fortunate with storms around dark yesterday and a little shower this morning - picked up 1.15. Going to need it as it looks like we bake soon.

I was in town at the gym yesterday evening and there was a nice storm roll through. I walked out to puddles and the air seemed clearer. I get home to just a few drops. Hope the rain chances for late next week keep trending our way. Not the best timing, but we need it.

Last of my naturally fallen snow/sleet left yesterday. I had a small natural area in the shaded part of the back that was holding on. It was an incredible 3 week run. Now just driveway piles left.

I didn't measure, but would go with 1.5 from the little event last night and this morning. It was definitely an over performer here and covered up the emerging bare spots. I think the school system was caught off guard too since there was no advisory. We melted back this afternoon and the re-freeze is on.

Same here for Iredell, but teachers (wife) going on 3 hr delay.

Snowing pretty good here. The previously cleared driveway and deck are white again. It's the rare snow on snow on snow (well mostly sleet).
