  1. I didn't measure, but would go with 1.5 from the little event last night and this morning. It was definitely an over performer here and covered up the emerging bare spots. I think the school system was caught off guard too since there was no advisory. We melted back this afternoon and the re-freeze is on.
  2. Same here for Iredell, but teachers (wife) going on 3 hr delay.
  3. Snowing pretty good here. The previously cleared driveway and deck are white again. It's the rare snow on snow on snow (well mostly sleet).
  4. My little cheap indoor-outdoor system which always seems to read high showed 7 degrees this morning. Most nearby stations were 6 degrees or less. Saw one at -1 degrees right close to the river. Coldest morning I'd say since 2014 unless I'm forgetting some other time.
  5. I used a blower some too. My neighbor was doing it; so I figured I would try it. First time for everything I guess. Really worked well on the vehicles parked outside.
  6. It's been a while since we had a good Feb or Mar storm, maybe this is the year.
  7. Steady light snow again after a dry slot moved through.
  8. 6" here with tiny but persistent flakes. I've begun the process of reclaiming the driveway areas I chipped ice off of earlier this week. Beautiful day, I was even able to get the wife outside a bit.
  9. Closing in on 5" and snowing nicely now.
  10. Steadily picking up here over last hour or so. About to eat an early lunch and head out with my retriever to soak in the full experience.
  11. Just checked, 2" of powder on top of existing ice. Still not exactly ripping, but really pretty. Seems to be picking up a bit too.
  12. Not sure when it started but woke up at 5 and already a solid coating. Snowing but not overly heavy yet, but beautiful already.
  13. I been fighting the same ice removal problems. It's about as hard to remove as any snow or ice that I can recall. Yet, here I am looking for more.
  14. I like where we sit overall with the initial disturbance at least for now, but the coastal development is going to make or break some weenie hearts to the east.
  15. Lot of freezing rain now, some sleet, up to 26.6
  16. Looks more like a spring squall line on GSP radar than a winter storm. But then again, nothing has been really normal with this one.
  17. In case folks wondered if we could still wedge old school CAD, yes we can.
  18. Pretty heavy sleet at times, and enough drizzle for a light glaze on everything. But trees don't look bad yet just kinda frosted.
  19. Yep, and radar returns look to be growing down toward Greenville - Spartanburg.
  20. Got the same micro flakes, mixed with sleet and probably freezing drizzle. It's really peppering down whether is shows on radar or not.
  21. Sleet has really picked up, but just like others are saying, there is definitely freezing rain mixed in leaving a glaze already.
  22. We have a very light dusting of sleet now on hard surfaces. Not much has fallen, but when it's this cold, it doesn't take long.
