I saw the OKX update with the 6+ amounts, many via CoCoRaHs. Thank you.

WXUNDERGROUND amounts like my AWN sensor are not qc'd and overall can run a little high in the intense rainfall situations...(stratus plastic is my qc) BUT wxunderground platforms are very good data points that I think warrant consideration by all-especially searching for wx related problems.

Agreed, the CoCoRaHs showed things really well around the area.  I do the same with my station with the qc, using the stratus to compare amounts.

It's 6th if one goes back before 1943. I'm not sure why all of the hourly NCEI data hasn't been incorporated into the digital database.

we still had pretty high rainfall totals in Nassau County, especially with the rain lingering into the next day and with a flood advisory.

Thanks for the radar map, according to that, most of southern Nassau was in the 1.0-1.5 inch rainfall total area and where I am was actually on the border of 1.5-2.0 inch rainfall totals

The second rainfall was due to a slow-moving Hurricane that made landfall in North Carolina.
