Siberian-Snowcover-Myth
RIC went from 1.9” at 18z to 8.9” at 00z on the gfs. Not saying it’s correct but the precipitation field did expanded northward. 3
RVASnowLover
GEFS looked good. UK looked better but extremely sharp cutoff. 10” in VB. None in NN

Stormpc
Gonna be a good clean snow. Rarely achieved in these parts. It will tick north with the precip field, IMO, but not enough to get beyond Leesburg to Manchester, at best. Banding is going to be everything for us HR folks. Where it sets up is anyone's guess.
overcautionisbad
Had a thought. Temps have not been quite as cold as predicted. Makes me think moisture will get in further north than models show 1

overcautionisbad
Welp, DT put out his 1st Guess map. Nased it on ensembles from 18z it seemed He admits 2 inch line is aggressive. He seems to think moisture gets a bit further north than most models say 3 1
Berlin1926
If you haven't already go to the SE forum. Less bitterness from the metro DC folk and more data. The models appear to be trending Richmond's way for the main event plus there's the 1"-3" Friday night. That's not nothing. 4 1

Berlin1926
Chesterfield south will do ok, I think. 360 south and east 6" seems doable with higher ratios 15:1
overcautionisbad
You know why we'll get 8 inches. Because I joined my favorite gym and it's been closed most of the week. So, life will be sure I'm stuck with home workouts next week too.

eaglesin2011
Imo I would rather the storm just blows up farther south in NC & the precip field expands north.. I’d rather just have a nice average 3 to 6 snowfall then have this move more north but the development hurt us and send dry air into this specific area… I think that is what the models are having a hard time predicting…
