guess NYC's next -10 daily departure

Recommended Posts

With the temp hitting 45, today is another day. -5 on the minimum so far and -16 max.

If only we'd get a -10 May. May last year was horrible.

May is not going to be nearly as hot this year. We're in a major trough for the first 10 days of the month, at least, with a significant cut-off low forecast to affect the region. Cut-off lows typically produce our greatest negative departures this time of year with rain, clouds, and NE winds.

Today of course as well. We'll see the exact number later.

Yesterday was 34/19. -11.

Today should have a nicer departure.

Friday was -15.5. 27/17

An impressive stretch of cold for this time of year... Normal highs now are surpassing 50 degrees and the coming week continues with high temps mostly in the 30-35 degree range.

Looks like the the streak ends today after 6 days. Tomorrow likely won't be -10.

Wednesday and Thursday might do it. My forecast is 38/21 for Wednesday and 41/30 for Thursday. Wednesday is pretty much a lock, but we will see how much temps rebound by Thursday afternoon.
