Considering its snowfall forecast, we must geti into some wicked rates sometime soon...

Well you did say it was intensifying rapidly ;)

in the time it took me to go down a flight of stairs, get a coat out of a car and come back up the stairs it went from 3 flakes to light snow....talcum powder snow right now, visible under street lights.

I think they'll get at least a coating.  An inch certainly not out of the question.  Snow shouldn't start til nearly midnight.

im starting to wonder if anyone north and west of ACY sees more than just flurries. dewpoints are still well below zero and radar trends dont seem encouraging. maybe im just being too impatient

Its got a nice layer of air to moisten up, but it seems to be working on it.  Watch cloud bases on ASOS's, they should steadily drop through the evening.  Also watch the virga hole on radar fill in.

yea,,,at least the radar is beginning to blossom and showing more northward movement. the 0z nam has also stuck to its guns so maybe we can still get that 1-2" at the shore. im a bit more hopeful
