Ok thanks. Thats even more strange. I figured it was a coal fire with a water cooling system releasing a bunch of steam.

Judging by the wind direction, orientation of the lake, and the disturbane moving through, looks like the wind has a enough fetch across the lake with enough instability in the air to create a band.  Righ place, right time scenario.

I live near KRWI and work in RTP.  It was light snow when I left at 8 AM.  Once I was past the Nash/Franklin line in US 64, it was clear.  Called my dad and he said it had picked up a little, but it was still light.

Sry, bit late of a Ob's... Though remember I said there "Light returns" across the Cape Fear? I did happen to go "walk My dog" down to the River Front Park on River Rd.. (Right around 12PM),,,    Partly cloudy; BUT, very, very heavy Viagra falling from the Clouds above , and YES,some, reaching the ground,,, small dendrites, though dendrite's none-of-the-less.... A few token flakes, cold as a twitches' Bit ... Dog Loved the COLD, while I seen plenty of un-expected dendrite's.. Blowing hard out from the NE, 28 F when I went, Now Temps are at 33...

That sounds worth getting up for.

If I were you, I wouldn't bend over in front of that dog.

Also, if your dendrites last for more than 4 hours seek help immediately.
