Any word on the cause of the fire?

Haven't heard anything yet. They are still taking care of some hot spots. Passed there last night and smoke was rising out from a few areas creating a bit of what imitated valley fog.

My old man is a retired fire investigator and pointed out to me that friction sometimes is the cause of these types of fires.....the friction caused by the mortgage rubbing up against the insurance policy..... ;)

lol.. Sounds about right.

Let's just say it wouldn't surprise me if it is found to be suspicious in nature. Too much crap going on there with the owners. Hint.....pipeline.

Nothing has been able to stop the north trend so we will see.

As of now it looks like 4-5" throughout the county

Thanks for the update. I'm heading down on a bus trip to one of the casinos near Allentown for a fundraiser on Saturday.....should be fun.

It's not bad unless you are a stickler for exact elevations. LOL On this road I know the elevations really well from geo survey topo maps and the error seems to be from 10 to 30 feet too low.

That site is telling me 344.5'

For my location its pretty much spot on. 10' really isnt gonna make a difference though :gun_bandana:

Moved up to Rock Hill in August. I'm waiting for a storm where this elevation really helps me out :)

Welcome to the Hudson valley express. :P

Looks like I will be cancelling the casino trip on Saturday. Not worth the headache. I have a gut feeling this is going to ne a quick hitter.

To be honest the 10/29/11 storm didnt do nearly as good up here as it did lets say in 20 mins south in Middletown and I was dissapointed. I moved from Beacon in Dutchess county. Whats funny is I worked in Rock Hill for 2 years prior to moving up here and it seemed like it used to snow every day when I had to drive up 17 during the past 2 winters. Now i'm here we cant get lucky with something big...but maybe this will be changing over Feb (wishing).
