There have been gusts on the OBX to 110 mph sustianed at 90

Not an official station I don't think though? It passed right up and over a pretty data rich region...wouldn't surprise me if areas to the east under that band were over hurricane force for a time, but I still question whether this will provide significant reports of hurricane force winds anywhere.

it is howling on the Outer banks...over a very large area.

Def but I'm surprised Hatteras is having trouble even getting to 50 knots sustained. 742am still couldn't get there http://www.ndbc.noaa.gov/station_page.php?station=hcgn7

CL got up there near 60 knots a few hours ago, Beaufort got into pretty good TS winds. http://www.ndbc.noaa.gov/station_page.php?station=bftn7

Further to the north at Oregon Inlet:

And off to the east http://www.ndbc.noaa.gov/station_page.php?station=41001

Not as impressed as I thought I'd be based on the expected strong wind profile over a huge area to the east. I think the LLJ interaction will give it a kick in the rear/get it going again, but does that bode well for us here in terms of really high winds when it's struggling to produce them to the east over open water? Or is it just falling between OBS points?
