Cory
Couple of pics out my windows in North Platte. Looks like 4-6" but hard to tell with the drifting. It should be fun getting my car out today since my snow shovels are in a moving truck between here and who knows where.

turtlehurricane
It's sleeting in Madison despite temps in the lower-mid 40s. This was not in the forecast.
turtlehurricane
Just had flakes mix in with the sleet, there must be a very cold layer aloft, and the enhanced wind today is increasing evaporational cooling and preserving frozen precip.
wisconsinwx
Wow, it was 46 in Madison last hour, and 43 in Milwaukee. It would be amazing if we got snow instead of the expected rain.

wishforsnow
Well the NWS has upgraded the Keweenaw to a winter storm warning. They are expecting we are going to get more snow then they thought. Never get a system storm all winter and now get one when it is almost May.
wishforsnow
So far it looks like another bust by the NWS here. They should just drop the warning. Only had barely enough to cover up the grass overnight. Dry air was the rule once again. Looking at the radar it is looking pretty meager here on the west end of the U.P. Looks like the Arrowhead of Minnesota is going to be the winner.
csnavywx
Pretty crazy looking visible satellite for mid-April. Snow covers over half of Nebraska, and almost all of South and North Dakota.Hard to believe I was storm chasing in some of that area last week with warm, summer-like weather.
