  1. Prefacing this with no scientific reasoning but I kinda like the “chance” next Friday. Something feels right about it. Maybe I’ll look at WxBell for the first time in a month... what a waste of a subscription this year.
  2. Did we just have our biggest event of the year? I totally missed this one.
  3. Sorry to let everyone down, but I’m headed up to D.C. from Friday-Sunday so all the events this weekend are gonna fail. Just how it has to be.
  4. EPS not all that enthused about the day 9/10 storm.
  5. Very light snow in western parts of the subforum at 117/120.
  6. yep. Snowfall mean is unchanged and it still has the look of a mixed precip event
  7. Agreed... there are a handful of big hits. Kinda hit or miss though, with the obvious caveat that it isn't including sleet/ice (which there certainly is some) fyi, for whatever reason the embedded images are lower quality. noticed this for a couple weeks now. If you click them and open them in a separate window, the quality improves.
  8. No problem, I'm just cognizant that some people don't appreciate map spam and I try to avoid it. I realize that my definition of "big bump" is different than others though, so both are needed. 0z
  9. Big bump in snowfall output on the ens. From what I can tell based on the temps/precip depiction there could also be some ice north/west as well.
  10. It’s about the same, honestly. My attempted point was that snow maps aren’t showing the whole picture, GEFS and probably the EPS are showing prolonged mix-y conditions.
  11. It’s probably going to all go out the window next run but the 18z EPS Control was going to go 3/3 on winter threats this week... nothing that impressive but a dusting with the ULL on Sunday, dusting with the clipper on Monday, and a light event looks incoming on Wednesday.
  12. 18z EURO looks more like the ICON... I'll be curious to see the ens.
  13. ICON really cranks the low on the 4th/5th. Almost certainly out of the reach of anyone but the NEMD/Delaware people, but an interesting result anyways.
  14. 00z EPS Control had a 1-2" storm. GEFS gives us a shot as well.
  15. BWI: 22.1" DCA: 16.6" IAD: 23.2" RIC: 11.6" Tiebreaker (SBY): 8"
  16. BWI: 11/09 DCA: 11/16 IAD: 10/08 RIC: 11/18 Tiebreaker: 8.91"
  17. Don’t look now, but I bet it’s snowing again in your backyard now. Try and hit 10.6”!
  18. Yes, it did. It was especially annoying because we were able to get flurries earlier yesterday with worse returns. That + some ice pellets + no overhead returns screwed the C'ville area today. And as I mentioned above, continuing to lightly snow with no returns overhead now. Weird place.
  19. Still snowing in Charlottesville at a fairly consistent rate of .2" an hour, which makes the total here 4.7" now. Sidewalks have been healthily recovered.
