I mentioned the 18z RGEM sorta as a joke, but the 00z RGEM continues to look nice. I'm sure it won't be great (or even good) at its longer ranges, but worth seeing what its biases might be.

Did you see the new and improved 84 hour RGEM? 18z looked interesting.

00z NAM is quicker than 18z EURO at kicking out the storm, FWIW. Yes, I'm looking at the NAM beyond two days.

GFS looks sorta interesting too.

Control has it, which tends to be a good sign. Only gets a trace DC-north but we love a good north trend. 1” line goes E-W through Charlottesville.

Nobody mentioned our first NAM'ing of the season?

Window has to be 99% closed for this weekend but I'm watching it if only to practice tracking something. 12z GFS and 12z NAM are worlds apart. Hope that doesn't stay a theme for the rest of the winter or this will be exhausting.
