    Jim Cantore just happens to be broadcasting live from that area. Been snowing since 8:45 all surfaces covered here. Wind is howling as well.

    I’m under a WWA for 2-5”. NWS trying to correct for dropping the ball on Wednesday. Looks like Snowman19 predictions of this storm going west and the southeast ridge pumping up warm air are out the window. He has 24 hours for things to change back in his favor.

    I believe the NAM showed this with our sleet storm a few weeks back and gave everyone false hope. Not buying anything until it’s over.

    My forecast went from 8”+ to rain overnight on TWC app.

    3” here in Lagrangeville as well. Just finished snow blowing the driveway. You would think my 16 year old would do it since it was a snow day up here.

    So with all that being said WHY can’t the models pick up on these details? They seem rather relevant to modeling/forecasting. I’m not disagreeing- I’m just ignorant of how these models work.

    Finally got a WWA for 1-4” and 2-6 way north of me. NWS can’t even get things right the day of a storm. TWC app had me at 1” for the day and haven’t changed their forecast.

    Would be nice for us Folks N&W to finally cash in. I wouldn’t mind a legit snowstorm after all the garbage we got all season.

    A bit early for us up North to start giving grades but what the hell. I would give it a C- for me up here. Over 30 days of snow cover from January to February but very low snow totals at a clip. I still have solid sleet cover as of this morning, should be gone by Sunday. Hoping for one MASSIVE storm for us.

    I just had ice on my car and the roads were icy but no snow near me and I am over in Beekman. I did see snow on some cars going down to the city for my commute.

    What is a normal La Nina? I'm not calling you out but just saying that we have maybe 100-150 years worth of weather data to go by and in the grand scheme of things its such a small window of time to call anything normal. Maybe I'm wrong. Just my 2 cents.

    Took a brief walk on my property this morning - my sleet pack is literally a glacier which can support my 200+ pounds of weight without even caving in. Haven't experienced that since i was a kid.

    Finally snowing. After the storm is over. Lol so much for 8-12” then 6”-8 then 4”-8” then 2-4” finally settling at 3” of pure sleet. No issues using the snowblower.

    Took out the Quad for a spin. Was like driving on marbles with all the sleet. Drifting heaven.

    Already sleet in Dutchess County. According to TWC it was supposed to stay snow until 9 am. EPIC FAIL.

    Snow showers up here right now. Ground white. Amazing that the NWS is saying it could sleet all the way up to Albany whereas yesterday the sleet line was lower Dutchess County. Still calling for 6-8 for me as of now. I will take it.

    The only way to stop climate change is more tax money and to spend our way out on costly nonsense. Sorry I’m not buying it. It’s a scam and honest scientists who speak up are censored and or dismissed for not towing the line. That’s NOT science and it ain’t settled.

    Lol a block of ice metsfan saves. That’s classic. It is interesting though that we only measure the snow that actually accumulates rather than what falls. We don’t do that with rain.

    Picked up 1” first go around today and another 3/4” with the squall this afternoon. Nothing like fresh snow to freshen up the countryside.
