  1. I can’t believe how quiet it is in here. Got about 2” in Dutchess .
  2. Snowing pretty good at home. Everything covered and still have snow on the ground from last weeks storm.
  3. Class Action Park. Awesome Documentary. .
  4. Just happened to turn on The Weather Channel and Paul Goodlow was live from Poughkeepsie. Had some snow squalls come through and whiten the ground. .
  5. My grandparents lived there in the 80s and 90s. They always had big snows. You’re far enough west to avoid the R/S line for most borderline storms. It’s definitely not the same town as when I was young. It’s making a comeback with all the hipster aholes from Brooklyn. .
  6. I know it’s way too early for accumulation projections but The Weather Channel has me down for 5-8” and AccuWeather 3-6”. One can only dream. .
  7. Not this year. Things are looking quite different.
  8. I’m surprised how quiet this site has been regarding the cold and perhaps stormy December that’s being forecast. 1980’s cold. We are due. .
  9. The bigger joke is the models. People will defend them and say how much more advanced they are and all the extra data that is input into them and the result is always the same. Waffling and uncertainty even up until game time.
  10. You cannot compare the water levels of Lake Champlain with today due to the fact that domestic water use has doubled since that time and population growth has increased as well. Yes, it’s been dry but everything balances out. .
  11. Hey everybody who had outdoor plans or beach plans we can’t be upset because BxEngine said we need to take a breath. .
  12. What the hell is going on up here? Rain again after finally being promised a picture perfect weekend?!! You are going to give credit to one model run a week ago and call it a win? I have said this a million times, the model suck balls. You younger guys tout technology advances all the time but the models still suck. I left all my back yard furniture uncovered because it wasn’t supposed to rain. .
  13. The colors used to represent the temperatures are ridiculous and misleading. It's an obvious ploy to make things look as if the world is on fire. Go back to a chart made 20 years ago and the color representations aren't nearly as extreme.
  14. How are we looking for the overnight period tonight Between 11 PM and 7 AM? I am scheduled to work tonight and I don’t wanna deal with the rain so I might just call in sick if it’s going to be bad. .

  16. Snowing here - just wet and cold. Running out of pellets for the stove and firewood is all but gone. Gonna have to suck it up and put the HVAC unit to work if it doesn’t warm up soon. Can’t buy flowers till after Mother’s Day otherwise a random frost kills them. I always hated spring more than any other season. .
  17. That can be said for any weather event. [emoji2357] .
  18. It’s all going North. Not much forecast for NYC today.
  19. They've recalibrated the temperature scale bands to bring in 'red' at 20 degrees C. (20+ degrees isn't hot) You used to only see red scale start at 40... Can’t stand how misleading these images are. .
  20. Now that I hit the hornets nest regarding the religion of climate changte you will tell me how simple I am and how i dont understand the data and how ITS DEFINATELY happening and the science is settled. Save your breath.
  21. What nonsense. The data suggests. No one can tell how warm it was 500 years ago let alone 24000. Now that I hit the hornets nest regarding the religion of climate changte you will tell me how simple I am and how i dont understand the data and how ITS DEFINATELY happening and the science is settled. Save your breath.
