Just had a few lazy large flakes here from a small blob of thin returns on radar, so virga is pretty much nil. Hopefully a few more flakes before the rain. 34F, DP 27.
I'll keep the faith but it is a bit sad to go from expecting a snowpack enhancer before the rain that might allow some snow on the ground into next week, to a snowpack eraser, all of this since yesterday morning. But it has been nice having snow on the ground for a week now. We'll see what happens over the next week or two.
I'm fairly sure we'll get a good bit of rain here, just hoping we can get a decent thump of snow and sleet before it changes. I mean it's a Saturday night and all, party time!
More of a steady light snow now, with bigger flakes mixing in. Not much accumulation so far, a thicker dusting, but nice! 29F currently. 1st time this winter with snow on snow .
Well whaddya know - thin radar returns after the 1st blob moved through, but now have a very light steady snow falling with a light dusting on the driveway and cars. 29F, RH up to 76%.
Fwiw, which is hopefully something - 0z 3k NAM coming in suppressed south by about 50 miles or so. Enticing...0z vs 18z at 9pm Saturday:
eta - LOL Ralph
Getting some very light snow on the back edge of the initial blob, not enough for a dusting or anything. Maybe more returns starting to pop up to the west? Currently 29F, 21DP.
That's my hope for tonight - 2". Also for Saturday here (2"). As much as I can get down here in order to have enough snowpack to survive the rain Sat. night. Good luck everyone!
Saw a ukmet map posted in the MA earlier (for 0z) and it treated us fairly well too.
Oops, just noticed jrodd posted it up above, lol. Probably where I saw it to begin with.
