  1. Sitting outside here waiting, reminds me of waiting for a line of tstorms, lol.
  2. After the initial ground whitening burst of snow here, it's been somewhat anticlimactic since. Looks like about 0.50" here, probably won't hold up in the sun tomorrow even with the cold. Nonetheless, all snow is always appreciated here! Currently 32.7F with a few lingering flakes.
  3. Wow - amazing. Thanks for the link! Some of those chunks of ice were huge. Did you rebuild the gazebo?
  4. Same here, due to the wet grass it's sticking to it nicely and already turning white here .
  5. Just changed to snow here too, temp. went from 36.3F to 34.7F. WooooHoooo Baby!!! It's even still light enough out to see it.....lots of nice fat flakes coming down. (Keep editing the current temp. as it's dropping nicely).
  6. A couple of hours at least - enjoy! Down here it's 36F and a cold moderate rain, with a few snowflake splats mixed in on the windshield, but not nearly enough. DP is 33. Radar looks great, if only it was snow. Could be a while yet before the rain-snow line makes it to here.
  7. Getting some very light snow here now, 32F. Kind of a moral victory I guess, given the trends in the forecast, lol.
  8. Nothing but virga from this area of green that moved through. Could see snow in the headlights of a couple of planes that were making their approach to PHL (west to east), but nothing at ground level. Currently 27F here, DP 20F.
  9. Whatever we get tomorrow, it can't be a bad thing that it's 25F here at 7:30 and my local forecast low for tonight is 27F. No doubt clouds later on will bring it up, but it is good and cold out there.
  10. Do it, lol. We'll fund your plane ticket. Be careful though, you can get frostbite in like 5 minutes.
  11. Not so much April last year, but March was nice while we were in waiting for spring mode.
  12. I guess we were ahead of our time back in the 60s when we nailed a bunch of nails into the front wheel of our little brother's new tricycle to see what kind of traction he could get in the snow. We used a lot of nails. It kind of worked but wasn't a very smooth ride, lol.
  13. This won't do much for our sense of snow deprivation so far this winter, but it's interesting to compare this date's snow cover to a year ago: 2019: 2018:
  14. Made it down to 17F here, currently 18F. Might need to tune up the snow shovels for a couple inches of snow Tuesday - Tuesday night.
  15. You could very well be right but I won't mind if not :-).
  16. If you're incorrect you will be required to wear a winter coat for a week in July, ok? Also, define "real snow".
  17. 6F here currently, also the overnight low. Brrr! The wind was sure busy overnight, kept the boiler busy too.
  18. Yes it did! Along with a few smaller incidental piles, and there's even a thin bit of snow in a couple of shaded spots. I imagine staying out of the 50s helped a lot. Now how soon can we get some more???
  19. Got 1.25" of rain overnight, temp. currently 41.4F and falling, down from the overnight high of 46.6, set a couple of hours ago.
  20. Well there's that, but also measuring rainfall in January isn't nearly as interesting as measuring snow, lol.
  21. Switching over to rain here now, with a little snow and sleet mixed in. 33F, DP 30.
