  1. Saw a ladybug here yesterday afternoon....
  2. Not anything on the ground here, but there are a few flakes falling, yay! 34F here currently.
  3. I saw what appeared to be some buds getting ideas today. Guess they got faked out by the pseudo-winter of Nov./Dec. Sure hope they take it slow till winter returns.
  4. Some light flurries here too. Happy New Year!
  5. Don't worry, February will be rockin this winter, especially with the extra day due to it being a leap year, lol. Although according to my research, the most snow received on a Feb. 29th at PHL is 1 inch. Still would almost double the current total here this season so far, which is 1.3".
  6. Had snow in the air a few times today from flurries, not enough to dust anything up, but nice.
  7. You're right, I know of 2 at least, Vikings - Giants and Vikings - Eagles in December 2010.
  8. I got up to 8F and a blizzard warning that Sunday morning, with 4" on the ground. It would have been pretty amazing. Apparently the NFL has never rescheduled a game due to snow.
  9. Getting light rain and snow mixed here, 38F.
  10. A little light snow here too, even have a coating on the cars! 35F.
  11. Don't disagree. Seems so agenda driven that it feels disconnected from the reality of what people are dealing with.
  12. The disadvantage of spring seeding is that the root system won't be developed enough to endure hot weather. It is nice though, this time of the year, to not have to worry about ever colder weather which can lower the blinds on seedling growth (like last fall here). I'd spread an inch or less of topsoil on it, feather it into the surrounding grass, seed it and rake it in (and water it as needed). You might need to hit it again in September, but I'd take my chances - you don't want to be looking at that all summer, lol. Eta - if you don't have one, get one of those 3 ft. wide aluminum dirt rakes, they're great for that kind of thing.
  13. I'm taking them one at a time, but how sweet would it be to wind up with snow from all 3 events!
  14. I can't imagine Glenn being all that inspired in that setup - he has a lot more to offer.
  15. Good job! JB probably says cold and snow later this month and into February (maybe a bit more dramatically). I'm in favor.
  16. You didn't miss much sports wise, starting with the 64 Phillies collapse. You would have liked the snow though.
  17. Except I probably won't be able to resist!
  18. Whaddya mean? Seriously, thanks. I've generally had a good experience posting in the NYC forum. It's not like were that far apart.
  19. I voted no because this is what I'm used to and it works for me. It's low key, but gets busy when something interesting is developing/happening. At the same time I'd stick around if there was a merger.
