3k cut precip a bit but increased snow totals...

Cloud cover ahead of any precip is pretty much null. Many hours more of radiational cooling. Down to 35 here...colder than any meso has shown by far.

18" here as well from that storm. Thinking 8-12 right now but the banding on the euro is sweet. Definitely a wildcard wherever that sets up. 18z focused it right in our backyards but its bound to shift around....as you know. This is a nice panel here..

Going to be a game time/obs situation regardless of what mesos spit out today. Lack of cloud cover tonight will be key to drop boundary layer temps so there is not so much ground to make up tomorrow. Elevation...rates all a factor to make it almost impossible to pin down. With that said...12z nams juicing up and say a surprise for some may be on the way..

Off the current topic... Can ens, GEFS and EPS have the same general look in the LR. Some potential help on the PAC side while maintaining a favorable ATL. Looks like we will have chances for the foreseeable future... In the med range, it looks like the blocking regime on the ATL side flexes again right around x-mas and then starts to relax. Maybe a period to watch as PSU noted yesterday.
