I'm getting old. There was a time I'd roll out of bed in the middle of the night to watch the 0Z Euro roll in. Of course, this was back in the day when the Euro was a lot more stable than it seems today.
I guess after years of tracking, my heart just isn't in it like it once was. Not saying I don't track, but I'm not as invested as I was 10-15 years ago.
Looking like 0.5" for the day. Pleasantly surprised as I thought this would be a miss to the south (or a virga fest at the very least). Still have some tiny flakes drifting down, 20F.
Winding down here now, probably picked up a 1/2 inch. Temp down to 26F. Also sorry to hear about the accident. I imagine there will be plenty of fender benders around the region this afternoon, hopefully nothing more serious than that.
Thanks for trying to cheer us up, Kamu. Among the differences from last year, we had some decent snow events in Dec 2017 -- nothing epic, but several inches to remind you what season it was. Since the Nov snow this year, I've only received 2" since.
I'll make a deal with mother nature -- I'll sign on for a mild, snowless winter if she'll stop the rain. Seems my sump pumps have been running non-stop since last spring.
