  1. I'm not really sure what happened with my point-and-click, was expecting a gusty day but there's no wind outside. I guess once this front moves through we'll see that transition. Any chance of PA snow squalls making it through to NJ?
  2. infrared radiation and the greenhouse effect are MSM hoaxes the left uses to force us to buy that ridiculous tesla cybertruck and i'm SICK OF IT
  3. 17/18 had an epic sleetstorm. Hours of the heaviest pouring sleet I ever done seen, yessir.
  4. Very nice day outside. 55/27 with no wind, partly cloudy.
  5. That was the least visibility I've ever had in a storm. You could reasonably see maybe 5 feet in front of you.
  6. Question is, if just some of these models hold serve, do they pop Ice Storm Warnings. The event is on top of us. Once that FZR starts falling it's too late. I try not to be the guy running around the office telling everyone the sky is falling but there's some potentially hugely significant impacts and I don't think people have any idea what's up.
  7. I did not, thank you for pointing it out. Mongolia is lovely this time of year.
  8. Mount Holly mentions isolated FRZ potential tomorrow morning for the colder parts of the board--heads up. And then a rain/wind/rain sandwich from tomorrow through the middle of next week. I wonder how ground saturation will start to impact area temperatures. I guess it would moderate heating and cooling but I've never really thought about it before, or if it might affect sensible weather.
  9. Looks like this month is a return to the high precipitation regime we were under this year. Mount Holly mentions the possibility of localized flooding this weekend but there's yet another system a few days behind it, again with robust southerly moisture fetch. I mean, we'll see how it evolves, it's a week away, but the pattern is favorable.
  10. I feel fairly confident the precip estimates for today are going to bust low, at least in New Jersey. Radar is juiced, it's very early, and it's absolutely pouring. I think some people will end up with 2" in the I-95 corridor.
  11. It's pretty fun to kick off the season with two very complex, long duration events.
  12. Without hyperbole, this is one of the most difficult forecasts I can remember in a long time.
  13. snow88 and nycweathernow should both be banned and sent to a remedial meteorology day camp
  14. However much it snows this is going to be a seriously impressive and early taste of winter. Mount Holly AFD indicating 10-15F wind chills in the metro area.
  15. There was a tornado warning for Somerset and Middlesex that was just cancelled. Could've fooled me, I thought I was in one a few minutes ago.
  16. Boys. Tell me. Let me hear it. Lay it on. Don't hold back. It's coming and you are all so ready. Who's getting geared? Who's got their seatbelts on? Whose parachute is packed? You know what it is. FIREPLACE BURNIN' PUMPKIN PICKIN' HOT CHOCOLATIN' HAND-HOLDIN' We are talking about MAJOR relationship goals boys. For the next two months, there will be exactly 0 weather events anyone with a life cares about, while the special someone picks house scents. You're out measuring 0.14" while she has decided it's autumn spice in the diffuser for the long haul. You're online debating MJO values and you come back to a lawn full of scarecrows you didn't even know you bought. But what I want to know is, who here is actually up for it? Who is ready for fall potpourri? Who's ready for the bathroom towels to change over?
