  1. Am I the only one who wants the drought to continue?
  2. I murder picked my big Italian nose trying to get a boog out and got a bad head cold a few days later.....was tested on the cape and had my results in half an hour (negative). Depends on where you go.
  3. Typically it's just weedy bottoms - milfoil, and the like. Fishing on the edges of Lilly pads. I also like to fish log lay downs and often flooded stumps in one of my local ponds. I'm also up north quite a bit and fish Newfound and Stinson lake - so fishing a lot of rocks and shoals and things like that for smallies, since there's not much weeds up there. It has a fast tip according to the rod. Right now I use almost all medium light action rods w/ 6 or 8 lb test, I like the fact that you can fling worms a mile but the bite feel is not that great and of course the rod bends crazy for the bigger ones.
  4. Do you typically use bait casters or spinning reels? I've used spinning my whole life but recently purchased a baitcaster. I like the fact you can use heavier line, cast father, and a more powerful rod I liked. How heavy of a rod do you suggest? I rarely catch anything over 4 lbs. so I feel I purchased something a bit too heavy, thoughts? Below is what I bought https://www.walmart.com/ip/Lew-s-Xfinity-Speed-Spool-Baitcast-Fishing-Rod-and-Reel-Combo/709627790
  5. I thought it's daylight that makes more of an impact on when the leaves turn versus temps
  6. I think it's real localized. My house was 43 this morning.....I went into a little hollow west of downtown in a low open swampy area....it was 35 with frost on the ground. Fake cold before the equinox.
  7. Relax it's just a lawn, it'll bounce back 80%. Let's keep the drought going while we got it.
  8. Shouldn't you delete your mid-atlantic locations since you're basically living in NH now?
  9. As long as the drought continues I'll take the cool temps, we can't win 'em all.
  10. Not good for the new england wildlands fire situation. Use wells sparingly folks.
  11. Gatlinburg comes to the hills of New England?
  12. I live at the sky high elevation of 1,100 feet. Smoky up at these heights.
  13. Are we ever going to see real sun again? Been hazy for like weeks. Asthma cases ticking up.
  14. Hard to believe this September is above normal.....it's been wicked cold!!! I think back to other years and normally it's ultra hot... swimming and tanning. It's been hoodie weather since mid August everyone is saying it. Let's hope for a torchtober.
  15. kinda hard to be tired of it when we only get like 2 months of it....mid june to mid august
  16. Yeah......I do. It's not that it can't accumulate, it just accumulates less and melts a lot quicker. With warm ground, you don't get the January WINDEX events dropping a dusting and it makes the road slick.
  17. That'll get knocked down near the end of the week and weekend. Looks chilly.
  18. Sulphur shelf... chicken of the woods....edible they say
  19. Boomers tonight? Nothing better than a loud crack of thunder on a silent humid summer night with the windows open and fans off
  20. Kinda sickening when you think about it. Out of touch with reality and the rest of the world. At some point you just have too much money.
  21. Not much posting in here - boring week incoming?
