  3. Franklin county has had a shield over it all summer.
  4. Nice August day, got 2-3 minutes of light rain and then cloudy with a hint of muggy but feels like summer.
  5. Mmmm, breathe deep! It's been all over the news in Falmouth this week but no spraying yet.
  6. Some family members are driving through Billerica right now and just texted me "heavy rain with some flashes of lightning".
  7. Farmer friend in Greenfield messaged me and said only .25" there so far today? How is that even possible?
  8. Years ago I had either a Lacrosse or Acu-rite that had DP and was only about $60-$70

  12. 20mi to your NW I got .10” today.
  13. Good point. I had not considered the venom overload factor. As I said, I felt it surging up into my lymph glands, especially groin. Ice cold shower water gave little relief to the burning sensation.
  14. Yeah, it's been warm for sure but I think maybe the dry factor has kept me from being bothered as much by it. Lot's of upper 80's but not too many 90's here.
  15. I guess S of the Pike has had the torch this year. Honestly, it has felt like a warm, dry, slightly above normal summer here. Perhaps the lack of humidity has me unimpressed? I am pretty mank sensitive and really have not had too use the A/C that much. Electric bill running way short of last summer.
  16. We are missing all of the precipitation this summer complete opposite of last summer. I'll take it as long as we can get the QPF in the winter...
  17. 8 -10 white face bites put me in the emergency room a couple of summers ago. I hit a nest on mowing and it felt like burning embers shooting into my shins, at first I thought maybe the lawnmower was throwing sparks. After about 30 minutes it was insane burning and itching in my lymphatic areas and my face started to swell up. Sitting in the emergency room it started to get worse and worse and the staff kept telling me they were still nine people ahead of me in line so finally I told my wife to just tell them I was having chest pain's. They wheeled me in immediately LOL They jammed a harpoon of epinephrine into my thigh, I thought my heart was going to explode, Now I have an EpiPen prescription. The funny thing is I had had plenty of stings over the years something about the wfh really made me react poorly. Fortunately I have not seen wfh in a few years but I'm still pretty cautious around Yellowjackets.
  18. I find this all really interesting because it's really only been on the warm side of a normal summer here. Many of the hot days have been tolerable humidity so I guess that helps. There are no accurate long term records for this part of the state but I bet we have been no more than a +2 - +2.5 for July.
  19. We got porked here. I have to check but I believe I am under 2" for the month of July.
  20. When you watch the long loop it's like Franklin Co had a force field up the way the storms just dissipated as they moved NE. https://weather.cod.edu/satrad/nexrad/index.php?type=ENX-N0Q-1-96
