  2. I had been thinking about getting into a new line of work but the beer/ brewing world still has some job security so I guess I should count my blessings.
  3. I have some friends who are school administrators in various towns and apparently it is very tight finding new teachers to hire and they are pretty much no substitute teachers available.
  4. Was there much flooding in upstate New York? Seemed like they were the rain jackpot.

  7. Just N of my house. No power just 2 houses up from me but we good. I am sure they will shut us off when they go to fix the lines.
  8. Heard this come down in my neighbors yard around 2 AM. Sounded like a shotgun went off.
  9. Had about an hour of impressive winds for this part of the CRV. Glad power is on. Just over 1” of rain . Grateful we escaped any high winds.
  10. Damn, did all of the mosquitoes get sucked up the coast from the south? After a relatively easy mosquito summer, tonight they are somehow out stinging in gusty winds!

  14. Ha, ha, I’ll take back my meh’ comments. Seems to be gusting solidly into the 40s right now in downtown Greenfield.
  15. Oh wow! Outside of the additional .75” of rain that we didn’t need, it’s been pretty much a nonevent in Greenfield. Getting a little bit gusty right now though. Patches of blue sky breaking out.

  19. It looks like it will have a pretty significant land interaction in the Carolinas.
  20. I am a little bit concerned about the winds if this doesn’t weaken much. I would be concerned up in the Hilltowns of Franklin County. Above 1000’ is going to roar. Even in Greenfield I am planning on at least short term outages.

  22. Definitely don’t want it out here. Franklin county has hundreds of miles of dirt roads. 5”+ of rain is no bueno.
