  1. White pines get a bad rap. They are intimidating and sometimes snap halfway up but everything I saw down today was hardwood. Maple, oak etc.
  2. Just walked the dog in the woods and despite last nights rain the leaf litter is bone dry.
  3. I’m stuck at home with work stuff but I’m chomping at the bit to get out around town with the camera. Based on all of the posts local FB peeps are making there is a ton of storm damage. counting my blessings we only had pinecones come down.
  4. On the drive from Turners Falls to Greenfield last night we counted over 20 trees or large limbs down. I-91 South was a parking lot due to tree across the highway.
  5. LOL, even though we are doing virtual school in Greenfield there is still a two hour delay this morning due to Internet and power outages.
  6. Lots of trees and branches down in Greenfield. No power downtown. My neighborhood ok. Probably gusted close to 50mph. Only lasted a few minutes. Power flickered few times.
  7. Don’t open that can of worms. Let’s just say he was an elite level guitar player.
  8. Foliage is starting to rip around here. Luckily wind damage was minimal, should be a steady stream of cars coming through Greenfield all weekend.
  9. Sky is starting to brighten but still a little misty.
  10. Oh, I agree. I would take sunny and 60s until Thanksgiving.
  11. West of the river. Miserable day here, 50s and steady sheet drizzle.
  12. .25” to go with 2.6” earlier in the week. #scooterknows #westisbest
  13. That’s pretty much a foregone conclusion.
  14. Once again best rains are west of the CT River. It’s almost like the line is drawn just west of Tolland. LOL
  15. You can probably get Mt Washington Radio 93.5 FM at your place. Great independent, alternative station. Blues Summit 6-9pm on Wednesday’s is awesome, if you like the blues that is.
  16. 2.2”. Poured off and on all night. Wind could not of been too bad here since I didn’t weight down the tarps on my wood stack and they are still there.
  17. Should be some good totals up in E Dacks and VT.
  18. 68/66, that's impressive for 11pm on Sept 29th.
  19. It looks like you’ll completely miss this first round of showers. Basically some sheet drizzle here right now with heavy stuff to the west.
