  1. Cape Cod. The firefighters pretty much had to let it go because it got going so hot and roads were not plowed yet. it’s possible that neighboring houses might’ve caught also but I can’t confirm that. I’ll post video in the banter thread later on tonight.
  2. Yeah, I noticed that. No reports from Franklin or Hampshire counties. I just sent them my 3.5” a few minutes ago.
  3. A good friend of mine‘s house just burned to the ground in North Falmouth. Generator caught fire and house went up in minutes. firefighters had a horrendous time. Humans and pets are safe but I am heartbroken for them.
  4. As currently modeled it definitely will be here. However, I'll need professional therapy, if the Friday storm morphs into the same areas that got hit today jacking again.
  5. Does your wife know about your occult indiscretions?
  6. Oh man, I should have gone to Falmouth but didn't want to risk being without power and cold.
  7. I imagine the Falmouth area must be doing well today? My family has a house down there but couldn’t chase today. Lol
  8. My neighbor just stopped by in his pick up asking if he could get me anything down at Tree House. That’ll ease the pain of missing the brunt of the snow.
  9. Nice glass! there’s a little Grateful Dead cranking here as we do Saturday chores.
  10. That’s gonna be close to once in a lifetime type snowfall rates there.
  11. That’s the part I don’t get. I need to go back and read some of the write ups from last night and today, maybe they saw something that never really materialized?
  12. Yeah, I don't think anyone saw your area getting screwed like it has. Crazy.
  13. To be fair, Cambridge and Somerville had 30-35" in Jan 2005 so the official Logan measurements don't do that storm justice.
  14. Yeah, pretty big fail for NWS maps in W MA and a lot of CT. Beware the Messenger shuffle. Jeezuz! You only have 6.5"? Fooking disaster, hopefully you can cash in a little bit better rates in the next few hours.
  15. My brother lives in Brentwood right of 111 near the Exeter River. He says maybe 4" at his house.
  16. Yes, much easier for me to except paltry snowfall because I am so far removed from the potential. If I was at your locale I would probably have to isolate myself from the family. Fortunately for my kid I downplayed this to him all week despite the forecasts. He's happy that we got a few inches, back edge is creeping into W MA...
  17. Congrtats! Looks awesome. Best explain to the kids how special storms like this are and how they don't occur in other parts of the state.
  18. I understand my area missing most big events because I’m 90 miles from the coast with little elevation. It’s dumbfounds me that you have not cashed in on something in the past few years.
  19. Snow totals will decrease westward across CT (especially CT River Valley westward) and west of the Worcester Hills in MA. Our snow totals in northwest MA may have to be adjusted downward, as some concern very cold/dry air advecting into that region (KAQW dew pt currently 2F) may overwhelm the boundary layer, resulting in less snowfall. Something we will be monitoring. Sounds about right for my area. Was hoping to hit 6” with this storm but I have adjusted my expectations. At least snow growth has improved a little bit here. -SN 13/7
