  1. Planning on going through 3 t-shirts tomorrow.
  2. It was 78/74 here at 4pm. New Orleans style humidity.
  3. I’m out in Heath on the edge of that line.
  4. Tree House in Deerfield is pick up only. However, Berkshire brewing has a taproom right nearby and Powder Hollow has a small brewery right at Yankee candle.
  5. ^^^ You could also do that route but instead of going to Brattleboro do Old Deerfield and then go out to Shelburne Falls or hit the mountain coaster and zip lines at Berkshire East. N Adams is further but a beautiful drive and Mass MoCa museum is awesome with a great Brewery on campus. Foliage will be starting to turn up in the hills.
  6. It's a beautiful drive up RT 122 from Worcester to Franklin Co and then you can take RT 2 to Old Historic Deerfield, great for history buffs. Then drive up to Brattleboro VT, Whestone Brewery has maybe the best deck in New England it hangs out over the CT River. Brattleboro is a cool little town. You could easily do all of that in a day. There are some great breweries in Franklin Co but unfortunately none of them open until 4pm.
  7. Moat Mountain Brewery is a fun place to drink and eat as long as you are not a vegetarian.
  8. We moved from Cambridge to Greenfield in 2007. Tickets here were $5 if you got one and parking meters were 25 cents per hour. Some are still 12 minutes for a nickel! The only thing I miss about Cambridge/Boston is the restaurants and the absurdly good music scene.
  9. Welp, raining again. 66/64 -RA .15" today.
  10. I only turn on the AC during absolutely oppressive heat and humidity. Better for your immune system to build tolerances to heat and cold.
  11. If this pattern continued any local grains or hops would be compromised but that’s why most breweries don’t rely on local.
  12. Powder molds are going to become a real issue if we don’t get some sun soon.
  13. It's brutal and the fines are ridiculous. I remember getting a ticket in Boston back in 2003 or 2004 for overtime at a broken meter. When I confronted the attendant he said it was a one hour limit not two at a broken meter. WTF? How am I supposed to know that? I always keep a roll of quarters in our cars and I lost my temper and started feeding meters all the way down the street, for about a block, just to be a dick. He called the cops! Lol I came back out of the building I was working in that day because the attendant and the police were now standing at my car. One of the officers was an older veteran, probably in his 60's and he just laughed and told the parking attendant to go on his way. It turned out the officer and I had a mutual friend from W Roxbury and we conversed for a few minutes about how bad the Boston parking attendants are. At the time he told me that parking enforcement was semi-privatized? I never looked into that. Anyway, he told me had seen undercover cops and BFD vehicles get tickets. Again, WTF? Who would give an emergency responder a ticket? SMH. It's a racket and they are in arms with a few select towing companies.
  14. Off and on sheet drizzle since 2pm. This just plain sucks. It's bad enough that we had to start breaking out bourbon barrel aged stouts at the brewery this afternoon.
  15. I know lots of commercial farmers in the valley, ground crops are starting to become a major concern.
  16. This. It's starts to affect many people's moods. It also limits how to entertain kids. I am incredibly lucky to have family on Cape Cod but can you imagine spending hundreds per day to not have a single nice beach day? Camping in this stuff sucks because your stuff never really dries out.
  17. Maybe I'll head to Falmouth next week, at least it looks like less rain there...
  18. Nice tropical downpour right now.
  19. The only real media these days are small independent investigative journalists who are out there with their cameras and notebooks.
  20. Yeah, brutal pattern. Not everybody will get rain every day but the chances are constantly there.
  21. I’m almost double that. 2.2” finally tapering off but it has been pouring for hours.
  22. Yeah, should be some good rates moving into your hood very soon.
