  1. The RT 2 corridor in MA up through S NH is historically the favored zones for these systems. I’m not sure why there are always so many debates when we should all know the drill. Are there exceptions? Sure. However, usually the only question is, if there is a furnace at the mid levels raging north. Anyway, regionwide decent thump of snow coming for most.
  2. Yeah, we did not move out to Greenfield till 2007 so missed that one and the 2002 valley crusher. Feb 2013 (Nemo) was pretty big for the Valley. 22-24” in Greenfield.
  3. Exactly, I’m thinking 4-8” potential in CT from SE to NW and 6-10” in MA from the Mass Pike N to S VT, S NH. Maybe somebody lollies to a foot but isolated.
  4. The topography of New England, offers quite a long list of potential snow holes.
  5. As far as I know, the triangle between Brattleboro, Keene and Greenfield has never jackpotted with any winter storm, ever. There have been some great storms but no jackpots. If you really wanna get into semantics, you could add Bennington and North Adams into that club. In any case, this will most likely be my biggest winter event, so far, this season. I just need 6”+ to accomplish that. If this storm can’t produce that here I’ll cash in the chips.
  6. I’d be happy at this point to get half of my climber.I’d be happy at this point to get half of my climo.
  7. General 3-4” in the Glen/Jackson/Franconia area today. Walked out to Lost Pond.
  8. It was snowing hard when we left Pinkham Notch and hour ago. Close to 4” there. About 3-3.5” in Glen.
  9. Up to 2” in Glen/N Conway. Every little bit will help the ski areas at this point.
  10. Lots of ski mountains were closed today. This weekend is going to be a nightmare at most mountains. I’m heading north but mainly to see old friends so I won’t be heartbroken if we can’t ski.
  11. Summer project for sure. I can’t imagine how to get big cranes up that access road. I know they did it initially to put it up though.
  12. The potholes are insanity right now.
  13. Terrible news. It’s not like you can just order a blade up and have it delivered tomorrow either. That is a big, challenging, technical project, that probably can’t be done in winter.
  14. Not quite warm enough here for me to roll down the windows and break out the John Mayer CDs.
  15. 57° is the high so far in Greenfield. Lots of clouds keeping us from getting to 60. Still some glacier in my front yard but that’s about it.
  16. I’m heading to Bartlett to visit friends this weekend so hopefully we can grab a little fresh snow!
  17. I’m down in Amherst in the car thermometer says 60°. As usual, just breezy in the valley but you can see the low level clouds trucking along overhead.
  18. Still 34/28 here. Looking forward to the warmth to melt away the ice.
  19. 37F. That’s up 30° since sunrise.
