  1. Not a drop here thankfully. Nice to finally string together some dry days!
  2. Here you go @PhineasC, it's just what you have been waiting for! https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/technology/pentagon-scientists-develop-microchip-that-detects-covid-before-symptoms-when-placed-under-skin/ar-BB1fChwa
  3. Your doctor can probably recommend some prescription creams for that.
  4. I really don’t mind that I sit this one out. Western MA gets a whisper but Eastern a clout. We’ve had all we need, we don’t need a drink. Let the coastal plain get drenched and fill up their sink.
  5. Just save that for any number of storms this winter.
  6. Don’t need it. Farmers up and down the valley are having their ground crops ruined. Powder mold everywhere.
  7. Biden calling on Cuomo to resign! He's an arrogant prick, I bet he refuses.
  8. Yeah fakes are probably already circulating. Plus I don’t know anyone who actually carries their card. Also, what if you lost your card? If you got vaccinated at one of the many pop-up clinics, there’s probably some work involved in getting another card. I don’t know how accurate the recordkeeping has been and I don’t know how good of a national database there is. My wife’s doctor had no idea she had been vaccinated so clearly no info was sent to our PCP.
  9. Whoa, I would like to hear more about the Canadian Prion clusters. That shit is nasty. I did not know you could get it from shellfish.
  10. Welp, looks like we need to start vaxxing the deer. Next we will get a report it has spread to cattle and the beef supply will be wiped out. https://www.nature.com/articles/d41586-021-02110-8
  11. Circle, Francescas, The European, Umberto’s were all North End classics when I was a kid.
  12. Looks like European and Chinese floods have added more stress to global supply chains. Unfortunately auto industry will see more setbacks. https://www.cnbc.com/2021/08/03/shipping-crisis-strikes-black-friday-shopping-amid-europe-china-floods.html
  13. I agree, I like a tangy properly seasoned tomato sauce and only light to moderate amounts of blended cheeses. I can’t stand an inch thick layer of cheese that you need to sop oil off with a napkin.
  14. The old-school Italian style pizza from Boston is good. Also some excellent brick oven thin crust. New York and Connecticut have some damn good pizza. There’s also a lot of mediocre pizza in New England these days. I’ve never been a fan of the thick crust Greek style pizza. Lots of that around.
  15. Awesome, lots of great culture, food and nightlife. You will love it! Hella’ convenient being right on the Red Line subway. Cambridge/Somerville is my old stomping grounds.
  16. Welcome. Where in Somerville are you?
  17. I was worried August would be dry after 14" in July but got lucky and pulled off a solid .50" in a downpour about an hour ago.
  18. If there is a bad cold or flu going around, it’s going to make the rounds and will inevitably freak a lot of people out, due to all the Delta talk in the media.
  19. It’s not like September can’t be hot and humid either.
  20. A friend of ours was pretty sick and he tested negative and then tested positive a few days later, he was actually already starting to feel much better at that point though.
  21. Already rained twice here this afternoon.
  22. So they are just figuring this all out now and it gets dropped as an internal CDC memo that was leaked to the media? lol
  23. Congrats. I’m just under 15” now.
  24. So timid thunderstorm but power went out.
