Nice choice! I am an hour or under drive to most of Southern Vermont. Go check out Grout Pond. Not far from where you are. Also, the deck at Whetstone brewery in Brattleboro is quite nice. The Marina in Brattleboro is also nice River views and outdoor dining.

There was no rain in the Greenfield forecast, that’s for sure. It was high overcast most of the day but zero rain.

I will see your bear and raise you two hawks. I’m actually not sure if they are hawks or Falcons, definitely not red tail hawks though. Mom and youngster, daddy-o was up in a tree watching my every move.

I went to an estate sale today and found this nice little booklet. I asked the first moderator, that was running the sale, how much it was and she said, she would “need to look it up”. So then I went and asked the moderator in the next room and he said “how about a dollar?” Published in 1938!

I’ve loved it so far. Only a few days of using air conditioning and great outdoor weather. My professional farmer friends are hurting and lawns are ash but it’s been a great stretch of weather. It’s also nice to be on town water instead of a well.
