The number of Pine needles that came down in the late spring / early summer was unreal. I have to do my gutters this weekend also. The contractor who did our roof a few years ago was not into gutter guards. He said the only ones that really work are super expensive and need to be professionally installed. Otherwise most DIY guards still allow debris in and eventually you will need to clean the gutters but it will be a pain in the ass with the guards in place. I basically just assume I’ll spend an hour or two a couple of times a year on the ladder. However, my house is just a little custom ranch so it’s easy to access the gutters.

Wow, Pike region jackpot again. Got a little over .10” here and that seemed like a win.

Actually ended up with .10” in the rain gauge so that’s good. The difference between Vermont and the rest of New England with rainfall this summer is substantial.

It’s been pretty amazing to see how storms weaken this summer as they move along the RT 2 corridor.

It actually seems to be blowing up a little bit as it heads your way.

Storm here was warned too but was weak sauce. Better goods are N & S.

Welp, one rumble no wind. Over in about eight minutes. Looks like we picked up a quick .05” or so. Every little bit helps.

Fading as it comes off the East Slope and approaches Greenfield. Hopefully can at least wet the ground. Everything the past month just splits N or S of here.

That might not be too far off, it’s pretty humid out.

OK folks, take the season stroking to banter.

Severe drought zones in SNE have expanded but surprisingly more south than west.

Even the nicest lawns in town are now looking pretty crisp. The long range does not look real wet either. Hit or miss thunderstorms are not going to cut it, the entire state needs a good soaking synoptic rain.

You get any rain? We maybe got .03-.05” in Greenfield. I bet we see the area of severe drought expand on the new maps Thursday.

The line of showers that came through the Berkshires fell apart before it hit Greenfield.

74/60 at 11pm is pretty nice summer weather.
