  1. At least it’s not on a weekend.
  2. Parts of SNE are so far above normal wrt rainfall that you would think that would start to average out with some drier stretches.
  3. Congrats, you found a station near the southern terminus of a 400 mile river, that hit minor flood stage from the prolific rains. I’m the fool for downplaying the threat.
  4. Yeah, wind never a factor here. I forgot to weight my wood tarp yesterday and it didn’t get blown off.
  5. How long have they been making snow there. I haven't been there in almost 20 years but it was all natural back then.
  6. Should be some decent rain totals in Central CT and parts of Worcester county.
  7. That's a good sign, you have a lot of moisture to go. Although best qpf might be east you should still pick up several inches.
  8. I'd take a 3-5 week stretch of cold and snowy over a big dog this year. I just want the New Years to Valentines period to actually look and feel like winter.
  9. From your area N & E will be the biggest rain totals. I’m expecting 1-2” here but we’ll see. So far only .30”
  10. Wow man, sorry to hear that. Being displaced for that long is a bummer. Good luck with the new homestead. I was almost decapitated by the top of a telephone pole a few years ago and that’s when I gave up any wind fetishes.
  11. The CT River watershed laughs at 2”-3” rain storms. Flooding issues will be minimal in the CTRV.
  12. 45° and overcast in Northampton. I’m pouring beer samples at an event that is going to have six wine and three whiskey reps also pouring. I’m going to need to pace myself.
  13. Euro is gonna win this battle.
  14. I have to agree. SNE may be able to sneak in an event over the interior but curtains closed, wrt plowable snow, until after Christmas for many.
  15. How will the shoals of Tolland fare?
  16. I think SNE fun time is probably Christmas or just after through January. The next two weeks seem like a lot of thread the needle will be needed even for where I am in the deep interior.
  17. Yeah, that would be a foot of snow for the high elevations from Stowe to Jay Peak. Low confidence still...
  18. If you want an old school New England apres ski experience hit the Shannon Door in Jackson. Cozy and festive with a comfort food menu and decent beer selection. Moat Brewery is fun too. You want to get to both of those places before 5 PM though…
  19. Nice winter appeal today. Coating of snow this morning and then off and on flurries all day.
  20. FYI, the 2023-24 (Kevin W) snow total table is up and running. https://wkevin.com/new_england_snow/
  21. IIRC the scholarly argument is actually September, 3 BC.
