  1. I was under the impression this was going to be a dry snow. Sh*t is wet and heavy. 34F right now.
  2. Ryan rightfully going conservative in our state. Those 10"-16" numbers for my area by NWS were funny. Ryan is back to reality with a 6"-9" spot over Windham County. From his FB post earlier: "We've been keeping things conservative as the center of this storm is going to track awfully far offshore." Putting the sanity back into forecasting.
  3. lol - NWS is calling for 10-16 for my area via the good ole' point and click disaster. I don't think it will be above 10, but if so would be the biggest storm of the season here.
  4. If I wish this away is that a bad thing? You see...I made a bet last month that I would not make it to climo snow? and 6 or so inches would get me to that point.
  5. Brought back to life for the Codfishsnowman.
  6. Idiot me. lYeah. Full foliage, and tons of tree damage. Roads were still being cleared 3 -4 weeks later. I suppose it's pretty comparable to the damage in CT a few years back during the October storm.
  7. October 4, 1987 Not SNE, but a great event from 30 years ago today when I lived south of Albany, next to I-90 just over the border from Mass. in Old Chatham, NY. Cars were stranded and I was going back and forth up the hill with gas for people. One of my all time favorite events as it occurred less than 2 weeks after summer ended and we ended up having no school for the entire week (storm was Saturday into Sunday). Although, that winter was fairly crappy after that, and since then never wanted to see another October snow storm, thinking that it meant there would be minimal snow for the remainder of the year. 8. August...The new September.
  9. No way. I like the 70's look.
  10. He's probably still writing his name in the snow up there.
  11. We had a break of sun for a bit at about 4:00pm Sunday, but other than that it was basically misery for the rest of the day (kind of like today). ...But, Kev had a good medium range call the other day with regard to Saturday not being a total wash out. Was cloudy, but definitely not a bad day overall.
  12. [kevin]particularly higher elevations in Tolland county[/kevin]
  13. I'm glad I came in here to see this. The timing is perfect for me to use a bit of a laugh after watching this health care debacle unfold. Thanks.
  14. lol. Don't think I've heard that one. I would actually be pretty stoked if I drove up to the lake Memorial Day weekend and had some of the white stuff hitting my face while there.
  15. Who is calling for snow?
  16. Really? You need a pool guy for this?
  17. lol. I agree and am surprised that Jerry is riding the RevKev train to High and Dew Land.
  18. Massive crowds of people installing a.c. units throughout the I-84 corridor in CT.
  19. lol. Spin the wheel of chance and pick a winner.
  20. April being April...We chill.
  21. Pretty much the consensus of a good number of people on here.
  22. I'm guessing the main reason for me not remembering this was due to the fact that I was at college in Bristol R.I. where this storm was more than likely a rainfest.
