  1. IF that all fell as snow, congrats @George BM for the snowfall contest win
  2. 19.9 for the low, snow ranges from 3 inches on south facing hillside to 5.5 in shaded spots, 4 inch average. Had some misty sprinkles then flurries last night with those gusty NW winds.
  3. Back to freezing mark at 8:30 pm. 32.0/21.7 and windy, NW at 11 gusting 26.
  4. Might not be the place, but a legitimate question. Where is the national snow analysis NOHRSC getting this from? Showing my location gaining 12-13 inches on the 15th/16th?
  5. High was 47.7 around 3:15. Front must have passed then because winds got gusty, and temp started down. Currently 39.8/26.1 and NW winds 12 gusting 25 mph at 4:35 pm.
  6. I thought it was pretty a smooth run?
  7. Aren't those the ones that cause Blue Ridge Striped Fever?
  8. Can verify, son lives and works Park City.
  9. Before my time, but record searching most spots this way were 15-22 inches from it.
  10. Yes it snowed lightly here for about 6 hours then went heavy for almost 24 here for that event.
  11. Made it up to 46.8/35.0 at 1:30 pm. Drip, drip, drip off the roof. Supposed to drop near 20 tonight, was is left of snow will become concrete like last time.
  12. Yes, it is the ICON and WAY out there, but that is 'a beaut Clark'!
  13. Boy did we dodge a bullet here. Temp ran 31.8-32.2 all evening /night with light rain. A small glaze on the trees, but looking across to the ridge in front of house there is a LOT more ice starting 1500 or so ft elevation. I could hear a distant 'pop' once in a while when outside doing CoCoRaHS this morning. Lost about 1/2 of the snowpack to compaction and melting from the rain/drizzle (0.62 inches). SWE this morning was 1.53" on a 6.5 average snow depth.
  14. One year when son was still home we turned it into a St Patrick's Day tree (his B-day). Down around end of Jan this year, sorta on average for here.
  15. True. I was on the southern end of the bullseye on several runs both GFS and Euro, even stated I wasn't happy being there once. BUT, this area did get the hit this time, biggest snows marched right thru here.
  16. 32.0/31.1 here, no ice yet, though it is raining.
  17. I'm just on the other side of that, currently 32.3/31.0 and a very light rain compacting the snowpack.
  18. The 'powers to be' did not like the outcome and are reprogramming as we wait.....
  19. Yeah, a nice 6-8 inch area-wide snow would be about perfect.
  20. 11/22: 0.2 01/04: 0.4 01/06: 7.2 01/07: 0.2 01/11: 2.2 01/18: 0.2 01/19: 0.1 01/20: 0.1 02/08: 0.1 02/11: 0.6 02/12: 15.9 Total: 27.3 First time above 'climo' since 18/19 season
  21. Final official numbers for the storm for me. There was 0.6 yesterday at 7 am on 0.03 liquid, then I cleaned a board every six hours and left one to do its thing. Measured 8.5/8.5 at 1 pm, 13.7/6.8 at 7 pm and then another 0.6 at 7 am this morning for a total of 15.9 inches, although the sleet and freezing drizzle had compacted snow down to 13.0. Total liquid was 1.48". Snowfall shatters 1983's 5.5 inches, liquid breaks 1985's 1.30 inches. Adding in yesterday's gives grand total of 16.5 inches on 1.51 liquid for the event.
  22. 7 pm measurements, uncleaned board 13.8 inches, cleaned at 1 pm board 6.8 inches. Adding the 8.5 when cleared to current, that is 15.3 inches of snow since 7 am this morning. Board was cleaned. Another 0.15 liquid, so 1.19 there. A 75% sleet/25% snow mix now falling, so I expect the 13.8 will be the max for OTG.
  23. Slowly changing over to sleet in last 10-15 minutes here. When I clean the board at 7 I'll go ahead and switch gauges to keep precip amounts separate. Still 29.7/28.8
