  1. Shattered the 'warm minimum' for the date with a 54.4 degree reading, old mark was 48.8 back in 2017. Enough rain overnight to make things damp (0.12), hoping for some more later.
  2. Currently 32.6/24.5. Low was 32 on the money. High yesterday was 49.8 late afternoon when sun broke out for a short period, otherwise it was locked in low 40's and breezy during the day and damp.
  3. Massive change from past week or so. Currently 43.3/34.8 at 3 pm with a few sprinkles. Off and on sprinkles since 10 am or so, swear I saw a few wet flakes mix in at one point.
  4. Low was 31.1, warmed up in last couple hours, currently 33.9/20.5 with mostly to partly cloudy skies.
  5. Currently 33.4/22.0, least the winds have backed off in last hour to gusting in upper 20's. Had sprinkles/flurries overnight, just enough blown into corners and around objects to know it happened.
  6. Winds HOWLING here, already a 47 mph gust. Currently 40.8/28.9 with NW wind 28 gusting 38 mph.
  7. Just missed a record for date, high was 78.0, record 79.0 in 2012. Low was 34.3, a 43.7 degree spread for the day. Cloudy and 54.4/31.0 this morning, waiting for some rain later.
  8. Got down to 27.7 around 8 am, currently 30.1/27.0 at 8:50 with clear skies.
  9. The 30 year avg is 27, but last 10 years is running 18.3. This is first year above 'climo' since 18/19.
  10. Amazing just HOW SHARP the cut-off is for precip. Sitting at 12.55" since 1/1 and 30.1" of snow here.
  11. Temp still dropping here at 11 am. Was 42.4 when I did CoCoRaHS at 7 am, currently 39.2/30.6 with a stiff NNW wind at 9 gusting to 17 mph. Had some sprinkles/flurries mix between 8-10 am.
  12. 4th thundershower/storm of the day here in last 30 minutes or so with decent lightning with this one, now under a flood advisory until 10 or so. Looks like 3/4" in gauge from the house.
  13. A clear start this am and 38.8/36.7. Yesterday peaked at 73.7, another way above average high.
  14. Were a few clouds here, 100% clear now, awesome is the best word to use!
  15. Pretty awesome view out there now! Looks about 2/3's-3/4's currently.
  16. Just got back from Lewisburg, still some snow in the 'slots' west of Covington to WV line on I-64 facing north. They have decreased a good bit in last week, but still a foot plus in many. There was as much as 3-4 foot in them back in mid Feb after the 12-15 inches that fell here. Funny seeing snow with 60's and 70's (currently 72.4/37.0 at 5 pm) last few days, reminds me of Colorado or Wyoming in June.
  17. Missed a record by 4 degrees (80 in 1990) but the 76.2 high yesterday was 3rd warmest falling behind that and 2006's 79.0. Way too warm for me! Currently cloudy and 40.0/32.2 at 8 am.
  18. Just glanced at Canaan NWR, they have done FOUR 50+ degree swings in last four days! I thought my 40 degree swing was a lot!
  19. Awesome you got to help and participate! BTW, already 71.1/34.5 here at 1:30, above yesterday's high!
  20. Same here, first morning above freezing! Currently 35.0/28.2. Yesterday broke the 70 mark with a 70.5 high. First +70 since 11/9.
  21. 28 this am, about the same as last 3 mornings. Looks like a great 'outdoors' workday today.
  22. Beating 'climo' on snowfall and having snow OTG for 40+ days this winter, a B+. Plus, the fact that it FELT like winter with the cold temps. Lots of moisture (snow and rain) should help hold off the drought talk for a bit.
  23. Back into the upper 20's this morning, least the wind isn't gusty... yet.
  24. 27 and cloudy skies here this am. Least the winds have relaxed! Up in Highland County at Maple Festival yesterday, some flurries and light snow and rain fell early, then winds! Surprise! But it was a nice event and ate way too much.
