Oh look, still fogged in on that sat pic (and it was). But now partly cloudy and the steam bath has returned. Currently 81.0/73.1 at 10:45 am with hazy partly cloudy skies. HI 86.0. Still 10 trillion percent better than the 97/98 degree days with 75 to 77 DP's we had for a few days in north-central MO!

Back from traversing the USA, time to put the numbers in for June 2025 Averaged high was 82.9 degrees vs a normal of 80.3 degrees, a +2.6 degrees above average. The warmest day was the 24th with a 91.5 degree reading. Averaged low was 59.8 degrees vs a normal of 57.3 degrees, a +2.5 degrees above average. The coolest temp recorded was 40.2 degrees on the 2nd. Overall averaged temp was 71.4 degrees vs a normal of 68.8 degrees, a +2.6 degrees above average. Total rainfall was 2.93 inches vs a normal of 4.20 inches, -1.27 inches below average. The wettest day was the 28th with 0.68 inches falling. There were 14 days with measurable, 4 days with a 'T' and 12 dry days. Highest wind recorded was 37 mph on the 1st. One new record, a 'warm minimum', set on the 25th. A cool start to the month turned warm and humid by mid-month and stayed there, fairly dry for June. A special thanks to the house/cat-sitter for keeping up with numbers while we were gone!

Well, managed to get....nothing, lol. I'll take that back, it rained enough to get things damp then stopped. Stormed swung east of us, we did get a good bit of thunder and lightning and a few 20-25 mph gusts that helped cool us off to 79.6/71.1 currently.

Just upped to a warning here, I can hear thunder.

Just went under a special weather statement for the storm north of here for pea sized hail and 40 mph winds. Storm headed this way.

Storms popping up all around here. Big stuff down on VA/NC border is warned as well as one west of the Saharan Desert near Stephens City.

Set a new 'warm minimum' with 69.2 degrees, old mark was 67 degrees from 1988. Currently 70.7/68.0 with haze and patchy fog at 8 am.

High was 90.9 degrees, about 1/2 degree lower than yesterday. Had a few pop-up showers around the area late this afternoon, but nothing fell here. Currently 82.5/71.3 at 8:15 pm.

Just made 90 here at 2:30 pm. Currently 90.1/73.8, makes heat index 99, which has me staying inside lol.

High was 91.5 here, no record (96 in 1988 and 1996), low was 67.3, also a miss (69 in 1996 and 2010). Already 78.5 as the last of the haze/fog just burned away with a stifling 71.4 DP at 9:45.

After an 86.0 degree high it is 63.9/63.0 here this morning with the usual haze and fog that'll burn off around 9-10 am. I got all 3 vehicles cleaned up, probably first time since late fall that all three look decent inside and out.

71.3/64.4 at 10:30 am, fog has just burnt off with a hazy sunshine. Was 59.9 at 7 am.

And the sun is breaking back out, just a light shower. Sorta felt (and looks on radar/satellite) like a winter snow flurry/shower. It MIGHT have touched 0.01 in the gauge, I'll check later. Temp 'bottomed out' at 73.0, which is current. More clouds forming out to the W and NW in WV, so it may sprinkle or light shower again later.

Yep, I'll have at least a 'T' to report, light rain falling. ONE shower on radar, right over me ATM. Temp down to 74.3/59.0.

LOL, clouds have moved in, and it looks like a shower could fall any minute, dropped temp to 77.6/58.5. High was about 30 minutes ago at 81.1. Although warm, I'm definitely liking the lower dew points!

Only picked up 0.14" from several lines of storms yesterday. Great news is the humidity and temps are MUCH lower this am! Currently 56.5/55.7 after a 55.3 degree low. Sadly, we bake starting Sunday.

That storm is now severe warned in western Augusta County. Storm to the SW is here, lots of T&L and rain.

Big cell blew up in Greenbrier County WV and just went NW of me into Bath County. Not warned, but I'm getting 20-30 mph gusts from the outflow from N/NE. Looks like another batch is inbound from SW shortly.

Another morning where I ALMOST set a new 'warm minimum'. Low was 65.8, record 67 from 2000. At least I see some blue skies and the sun trying to break through. It has been either cloudy or foggy for many a morning in a row here. Currently 67.3/66.0 at 8 am.

I've seen a few of those this year around the house.

Picked up 0.37" from several rounds of showers and thundershowers yesterday, nothing severe. What we DO have is crazy humidity and mugginess, yuck. 2004 has saved me from setting new record 'warm minimums' last three mornings, but I've been within 1 to 1.5 degrees of that each morning. Currently cloudy and 67.8/66.5 at 8 am.
