  1. Of course, that was posted as a joke, no one believes DC is getting 6". But damn, it would be funny if they did.
  2. Remember the great event of 1976, which crippled Buffalo. Only 4" fell, but the hurricane force gusts and plunging temps did the damage (drifting off Lake Erie helped too). 12"-18" will be insane in this case. But south of the city looks to get more....a lot more.
  3. Should auld acquaintance be forgot...happy New Year!
  4. If I lived in the Chicagoland area, I would consider a road trip to SBN. Short drive, and with ND on break you can probably get a great deal on lodging.
  5. There are some good posters on the Midwest board, but my God, only 31 pages? We have 64 pages and it has been a clear whiff for 5 days, lol.
  6. Yup, I mentioned the secondary as a possible TITPB on Sunday night. That run is a full Justin Tucker 60 yard field goal kick to the balls for the Midwesterners!
  7. I suspect that feature moving up the East Coast is the turd in the punch bowl for you guys. It seems to be robbing your moisture advection.
  8. Oz NAM has a significantly different orientation to the SPV....now extending an arm well into Quebec. I know it's the end range of a NAM run etc. etc., but I am getting a feeling the final chapter has not been written here. Am I expecting an EC blizzard? No, but I am sensing some weird twists and turns are coming. Maybe ski country breaks even?
  9. I'm considering a new handle...has anyone taken TheClownRanger? And BTW, WTF is our uncle trying to do?
  10. ECMWF has MJO entering 7 then 8 after the 23rd. Whatever that's worth.
  11. Ridiculous sounding, winds unidirectional through 500mb. 65knot winds at 850. And a slightly low DGZ.
  12. I was in SBN for the Cleveland Super Bomb. Good luck to you Midwestern peeps, do it again!
  13. I believe Tip and I are the only New England board members who experienced the Cleveland Super Bomb. If it weren't the Xmas holiday, I would really consider a trip to "my old school" (my apologies to Steely Dan). This shoulda been our storm!
