  1. Was end of feb 2010 I believe 25-26
  2. Yeah I just was looking at H5. Thought it did. Regardless these March like closed ULLs are my favorite type of system. I hope it verifies. I’ll chase if i have to
  3. That’s one way for it to work lol. Retrograding low, okay...
  4. I’m currently saving. Want to start my own painting company and work up in MA. Close to Worcester. Animal, no worries. I’ll bump this come the end of March but I truly think we’ll have above normal snow. it could be worst. You could be me and storm chase and miss out on 40” because you flipped a coin and it landed on tails.
  5. There is one issue there. Like others have mentioned the HP originates in SE. that Hp you see there builds in later. Not saying it’s not possible, but my focus is more on what happens few days after. Of course I could just be kicking the cab down the road and say the same thing in a few days
  6. Love the EPSlook New Year’s Eve/Day. Notice the cad signature on the eps this far out at 234-240 hours
  7. Yeah that actually should perk up southeast forum interests. Kind of have a detached southern branch with plenty of cold air
  8. More interested in the second event after Xmas. Don’t like where the HP is setup for the first redeveloping clipper
  9. For coastal plain I’d be more interested in the second wave length event. I think the redeveloping clipper could change to snow for nyc if you get a closed ULL at the right spot, but the hp source is better after
  10. I mean let’s be honest. Yoos guys have a similar climate to Georgia. I was trying to be more relatable haha. I don’t think I’ve ever used y’all in real life. Anyone know what time that new 12z jawn runs?
  11. Not sure if it was mentioned, but the cmc did have a nice cold sourced HP with a 50/50 at the end of its run too. We just would prefer that incoming southwest energy to be a little less intense as it crosses the conus.
  12. Y’all are setting yourselves up for failure comparing everything to 96. That was a great 6z run on the gfs. Probably the best look yet for dc/philly. Kind of want the first post Christmas storm to blow up now. Even if it’s rain could serve as 50/50. The storminess is relentless it seems and we have blocking. There’s just no way we don’t cash eventually (we’ll I guess there is lol), but it could be 10000x worst.
  13. I don’t think anyone trusts them. This is the hobby. We track future storms. We root on the most destructive and intense solution, and on the side we root on post frontal snow showers haha. Anyone who has been in this hobby long enough knows the gfs has too much qpf in cold sector with fronts like this. It’s always too cold, but it’s fun. What’s the big deal?
  14. I forget how you change it. Do you have to pm the mods or is it in settings?!
  15. I’m feeling it. I don’t love the pac, but it’s got a shot. We keep getting blocking to show up like this we’ll produce eventually. I may be from Philly but when you guys do well I do well. Only difference is I’ll chase a storm so I tend to just root for extreme scenarios haha
  16. Yeah with this setup not happening. Gfs likes to put too much qpf in the cold sector with fronts like this. No way.... In other news still a bit of a signal for that post Xmas system. That’s 3 runs in a row on the gfs showing a deepening low off the EC
  17. Psu you’re spot on there. DT sometimes lags behind a few model runs lol. The potential is still there though. The 18z gfs post Xmas storm is an interesting one. the wave kind of doesn’t know what to do. It’s got stout blocking up top but a very progressive flow. It stays open for so long before finally closing. The signal is real though
  18. What a wild H5 solution shown on the 18z pos gfs. Tbh there could be a signal for some kind of closed off low.. like a battle between the pac and blocking
  19. Euro is a close call evolution for the wave after Xmas. Tries to run a wave into the lakes but gets shoved east and closes off. Big dump for interior. Bombs too late. Very convoluted look at end of run
  20. Both gfs and cmc have some kind of slow moving retrograding low after Christmas. Gfs is real nice for SNE feiw
  21. What the hell were they thinking? Yeah their oldproduct used flash once you zoomed in, but why couldn’t they just keep the same graphics and integrate it better? It’s extremely slow, pixelated, and just flat out ugly.....this needs to be remade. Whoever they hired to make it screwed up.
  22. Yeah it really depends how well this Christmas storm Bombs. As Tom said on another forum the pac is not too good at that time frame so it’s going to depend on the block
  23. Euro was about to kaboom at the end of the run
  24. It did look more progressive, any maps?
  25. If that verifies I know the Op gfs shows that low inland, but we’d def be able to pinch that H5 low farther southeast. Long way to go. Could be a mirage, could be a signal....
