  1. I've seen probably the most ice in modern times in 1/98. Easily 3-5" of ice. Beautiful to look at, but very damaging. I like about 0.25". Nice to look at.
  2. I hope you get a nice coating, personally I'll pass here.
  3. Hopefully nothing here either. My dad's 85 and slipping and falling can be fatal.
  4. That's my WU station. Every station around here is 26-28.
  5. Rain moving into Western Connecticut on radar.
  6. Berkshire East was deserted the day after Christmas, no more than 10-20 people in line for the quad at any one time. No snowmaking yet on most of the advanced terrain. The conditions weren't good, firm groomed over icy patches.
  7. Unfortunately it looks like my favorite places to ski in the Berkshires are going to get hit
  8. For those folks wanting catastrophic icing, best of luck to you. Looks like (and hopefully) mostly plain rain here. Really bad timing for the NW Connecticut and Berkshires skiing. The rest of the holiday week looks shot for those areas.
  9. Winter Weather Advisory here, the WSW has been dropped. NWS p/c now mentions freezing rain as well as sleet. Ice Storm Warning for Litchfield and Western Massachusetts.
  10. Is this area safe from the threat of freezing rain? NWS has a low of 32 and 1.5" of rain.
  11. It's more than that, Otis Ridge is located there. A small mom and pop ski area. Hopefully they don't get alot of ice storm damage.
  12. An owl has taken up residence nearby to my house. Cool to hear it at night.
  13. Power hasn't been out here for more than a few minutes after local lightning strikes.
  14. You at Wachusett? Is it busy? Berkshire East was really empty for a holiday week.
  15. Not the best quality snow here at Berkshire East, groomed and frozen granular. I can count the number of people here outside the base lodge. No lift lines at all.
  16. I'm here at Berkshire East and it's deserted. Thin snowcover in the Pioneer Valley, gets deeper just south of Greenfield. About 2-3" here.
